For real? Can't imagine Emery is a happy camper right now.

Once Mason returns, they should trade Emery for any asset they can get. Have to think there would be a market for a veteran backup.

Probably not. Zepp seems to be quicker and maybe they are seeing if he could be the back up next year. If zepp would move to the back up role then Stolarz would take over the starting role in AHL. WOuld be a good development plan.

In my opinion.. if we're talking worst Eastern Conference announcers... Pittsburgh is the worst (and no, it isn't just because I'm a Flyers fan) and Boston is second.

Pittsburgh's guys talk like the Pens can do no wrong.. at all.. ever.. and they have the best players on not only planet Earth, but in the whole humungous big universe, and they feel the need to tell you every other 5 seconds. Every home team announcers a biased some.. but they take he cake. Malkin could break his stick over his knee and stab an opposing player in the throat, and they would be saying "I didn't see anything there.. looks to me like the opposing player slashed Malkin, so if anything he should get the penalty".. I can't leave the Pens channel on for more than 30 seconds at a time, unless I mute it. It's really a shame.

Boston is just as bad... not only are they extremely biased, but their frickin stupid. I remember when a player (can't remember who) followed through on a shot and hit a defending player in the face with his stick... Edwards was crying for a penalty left and right.. I don't remember if it was Brickley or their on ice reporter at the time, that had to correct him and tell him since it was a follow through it's not a penalty.

I'd put Jackson/Clement against either of them in a heartbeat for worst.

He's basically the only guy, at this point, unless they want to baptize Hagg in flames.
- Tomahawk

Manning if they need someone to actually play, and I think Lauridsen will be the callup if they just need a #7 guy after the deadline and are out of playoff contention. He's not developing anymore and they're already paying him an NHL salary.

I like Clement to a point. Jackson gets on my nerves more and more. It's always "no call!" and stuff with him whenever a Flyer hits the ice. Just want him to call the game and not do the penalty grubbing thing. I don't mind the bias either since that comes with the territory.

Firing a coach like Laviolette and replacing him with a turnip isn't a recipe for success.

Streit has been pretty good IMO. I don't think it's fair to criticize him. MacDonald on the other hand is a waste of time.

He would be an upgrade for Tampa and Dallas... maybe Long Island, too.

Long shot - he goes to back up his best bud Holtby in Washington.

Streit has been fine here. But the Islanders did make the right call on him. Giving more responsibility to the Hamonic's/Visnovsky's

It'd have to be a team that can sniff out cross-ice passing lanes and cover them. Everyone knows his lateral movement is suffering.

MacDonald last season, then Leddy and Boychuk this season were the guys who replaced Streit on the Islanders PP. Visnovsky is too concussion prone to be counted on at this stage of his career.

Hard to argue with anything the Islanders have done right now. They've had a great season thus far. Having the cap space to swoop in and scoop up Boychuk and Leddy was huge.
