I know why Chief does it, but it hasn't worked, as you've stated for Schenn or Read. Raffl compliments G and Jake well for some reason. - aantny88
Yes but the problem moving forward is having relying on Raffl as your top line winger. Yes they want Schenn to succeed. He will get a little more leeway to try and get him going. Raffl while a nice player is not someone you want to have to be relying on to produce in the future. If Schenn isn't producing then he doesn't have great value. Even when Couturier isn't scoring he does a lot of other things to help. That is not the case with Schenn. |

There's also a ton of chain and independent places that serve far worse food for far worse prices. Olive Garden is what it is. It's not gourmet Italian, but not like it's the most awful place ever in the history of ever. - jmatchett383
I've gone to so called gourmet places and the food was actually not as good as OG.
Any chain place you face the same type of issues |

his feet are starting to come up off the ice as he hits him, which is a result of a slight launching of his upper body and arms to come up and into laughton. seeing this slow mo vine seems a little worse to me than what i saw last night. the back of niskanen's shoulder and his back also seem to graze the right side of laughton's head too.
i'm not going to say it's a dirty hit, but i don't like it. |

Olive Garden gets awful jokes made about it because Olive Garden is awful.

OG really isn't the worst ever
because Applebees is the uncontested holder of that title |

Chili's is pretty good relatively speaking. I like Friday's too. |

That sounds like the kind of player PEB could become, although I don't think he has Raffl's offensive upside. - jmatchett383
Bellemare is another one of those solid all around role players that a team needs. Flyers have a good supply of them. |

Matt Read's literally the only player who's WOWY's look worse w/ Raffl. In most cases, he's boosting guys' possession-times by 5-6%, including 28/93. He's a puck-magnet or something. - Tomahawk
Wowy's can't show that a player makes other players better. Lots of factors involved. Normally when a player is moved around the lineup, his role, ice time, game situations, linemates, all change. Not a reliable stat, in my opinion. |

You just need to have a reasonable expectation. I don't head into a Chilli's or Fruday's expecting stellar, world class ribs. I expect a decent meal for $10-20, and a beer or two.
I don't go to Olive Garden expecting the best Italian meal of my life. Just like I don't go to Denny's and expect to leave without dysentery |

Agreed, Laughton would never try that on the PK. |

I don't particularly find it reliable either, for some of the reasons you mentioned... but it's still pretty significant when every line seems to get worse when Raffl leaves it, right? (numbers corroborated by eyeballs) |

Schenn has been in a goal scoring slump regardless of where he plays. I put it on the player, not the coach. I'm far more concerned about lines 2-3 then I am about the 1st line, as I'm sure everybody is. |

I actually thought it was a clean hit......got him in the shoulder. I just hate that the flyers have ZERO physicality. And I am not talking about fighting and no I don't want a "goon" in the lineup - nastyflyergirl

I like Raffl, and think he is a good player, but he is not an offensive catalyst, in my opinion. I think there's lots of reasons why lines fluctuate in play. I don't think the line of Simmonds/Laughton/Raffl has been that good. I thnk Laughton's game away from the puck is NHL caliber, but I don't think he's quite ready with the puck for a 2nd line center role. |

Yup pretty much. I know plenty of independent restaurants that are in the same price range and better and I also know of some that are worse. The main reason I even go to chains like Friday's and Chili's is because I know exactly what I'm getting so there's no risk involved. |

if you stick to the soup and breadsticks, olive garden is tolerable
if you stick to water, you may survive a trip to applebees without dying of dehydration #saltcity |
