I think most of us are aware or think that Gilbert/Emelin/Gonchar/Weaver aren't dmen that will be of much use in the playoffs.

Subban is having a tough season (especially the last week or so).

Eller is a lost cause.



They're having a good season so far, but I don't think they belong in the contenders category.



Edit: We'll see at the deadline. They could always find upgrades on defence and add a piece to the top 6 forwards. Which could really improve the team.

Yeah the habs aren't contenders either. With Price they could make the finals like the Rangers but then get pumped by a west team. Maybe Galchenyuk can be that dominate number 1 C but I wouldn't hold my breath

I feel pretty good if this team actually cleans house at the deadline (everyone else, like Franson, Santorelli, Winnik, maybe Bozak) and the off-season (Phaneuf/Kessel).
