I'm pretty sure we could trade Phaneuf somewhere without holding salary. - Garnie
I agree
Taking back another (short) crappy contract is better than retaining salary
there has to be a desperate GM out there who thinks adding Dion for a pick or prospects is a good idea |

Not till the off-season though.
The trade they need to make is Franson |

I had a buddy who got ordained for another buddy's wedding in Cabo. Problem was, he GHB'd himself too heavily on the first night at the resort and ended up needing to trade his Yankees cap and 100 yanqui dollars to get out of Mexican jail. The bride and groom fired him before the ceremony. Not sure how he got ordained, but I'll text him right now. - 1979AD
I'd fire him too! haha but thanks! |

Late first round pick. You know there's going to be a playoff team that needs a boost to their PP. |

LeBrun was saying that Arizona has decided to bottom out and rebuild. Yandle will be had before Dion and probably for less. |

If like everybody says "he would have gotten that contract on the open market" how couldn't there be? He's the same player he was last year. |

We're gonna just give Dion away for whatever said team wants to give back. |

I thought Yandle was good? Wasn't he one of the best defence a few years ago? |

Maybe I'm wrong. I'm used to Leaf fans overvaluing everyone I'm sorry! |

A few thoughts from last night:
1. Thornton is a terd. Shooting the puck at a playing is low. If we had a tougher team, things like that spark brawls. Really classless by Joe
2. We played well. If we had capitalized on our missed chances or our PP we could have won. Well played by the boys.
3. Once again the top line was basically a no show. THey had 2 decent shifts near the end of the game. THat was it. |

First call I make today if Im Nonis is to the Preds and what will they give for JR..
Renne out for a month, the back up sucks and their payroll is only like 60 M, its a perfect fit
Id settle for Austin Watson and a pick... |

As they said on the broadcast "no puck luck". It sucked pretty bad and the Sharks 2nd goal sucked. |

Just watched the highlights on TSN this morning...great defense by Gardiner on that first goal lol. That kid is as bad as our little guy Weber and Sbisa.

I think Dallas will address it in the offseason. I don't think they feel their time to win is right now. Nashville probably feels they can make a deep run.
I'd ask for a first rounder and see where it goes from there. Dubnyk got a 3rd! |

I think the Preds are a better fit, on top primed for playoffs, they dont have their all star starter, and lots of prospect depth and cap room |

Let's hope it keeps up!
That could crack the bottom 5 if they keep losing at this pace! |

Why dealing JR would be a great start... and then if Bernier went down |

But at the same time Polak's goal could be considered 'puck luck' |
