All of you advanced stats fanatics, I hope your happy. Analytics are going to ruin the game. Everyone is going to start playing the trap and worrying about shot suppression as opposed to actually playing the game and trying to score goals. The last three games have probably been the best the leafs have played in regards to their advanced stats in years and yet its the most boring hockey I've ever seen. Would rather lose 7-5 and at least be entertained.

Take the top 5 advanced stat guys in the world, the sort who can apparently "see" the game just by looking at the stats (like Keanu Reeves in the Matrix?), hand them the stats from the last 2 games, and ask them to give a synopsis of what happened. They would look like idiots.

so where did it all go wrong? We're heading for the bottom third of the league again 8/9 years (just venting)

and from the looks of it they will have a bunch more coming in over the next couple years, mostly from 3rd round and later picks.

nothing wrong with the scouts... need to let them pick in the first 2 rounds consistently and might actually get talent.

Good to see they outshot the Ducks.. Can't score, but at least they were not out shot by 40..
