I just hope they give Teddy and honest chance to sink or swim on his own with a roster that has at least half of it full of real NHL players because this one doesn't.
- BuffaloHardHat

yeah. me too. Im trying to figure out now if I should buy a southwest ticket before the finals and cancel it if they lose or just buy one the day they win it all and pay through the nose.
If they ever win the cup with teddy, im going to need to be at that parade and will probably need a new liver afterwords.

I suppose I got a few years to figure it out.

Don't bank on it. These are the same people that are willing to put together the worst team in the history of hockey and charge full price. I doubt they care about Teddy's feelings.

And if they're serious about ever winning a championship, they shouldn't.

you never know. If teddy can motivate Latvians or Brian Holzinger and Dixon Ward, he could surprise us with some talented players.

I know. And it appears they are. After all of my 11 pages of female doging I can't deny that they are serious about a championship. I guess I'm not used to it. I'm used to teams selling false hope whereas this team is just going for broke.

Motivate them to what? Watching while their goaltender steals games for them?

What is unfortunate about that is the head coach, is supposedly, a player's coach. Nolan should have been able to get to the root of the issue by now. Maybe he doesn't want to get out of the funk.

He said he's tried everything with Hodgson, to no avail.

I am probably in the same boat as you are!!
I will probably be in Buffalo for an entire week, if we ever win the cup.

I have a feeling sooner or later, its gonna happen. The haters can hate, but Pegula wants nothing more to make that speech at the parade saying that he did what he had to do to bring the city a cup. I think that ECF series against Carolina was actually more disappointing to me than the "No Goal"
So, im ready to come home and go crazy when they win it all.

Those "History will be Made commercials" always had a rewind followed by a "What if" question. The proper one here would be "What if Ron Tugnutt's glove had been sewn correctly?"

If a foreword scores a GWG, it's not the "Goalie stealing a game"....its Derek plante winning a game.
Hey, you can hate Nolan all you want, but he delivered His first time around with the Sabres, weather Hasek was in the net or not. And I personally enjoyed watching many of those games, win or lose. I believe one year Peca/Ward led the league in Shorties. That's not ALL Hasek.

The Ottawa Senators had no business being in that series. Lemaire outcoached him. He was then badly outcoached in the following series against Philadelphia, which he had home ice in. Bottom line is this: this team will not win a championship with Ted Nolan behind the bench.

I'm an optimist, but you're probably right.
I think Hasek aside, he got a bunch of guys; who mostly did nothing after they left to other teams, Over achieve.
If he's still here in 2 years, I would make a wager with you, but we can't because this is a "family site."

Bottom line is this: a Ted Nolan team with McDavid/Eichel, Reinhart, and Girgs is not going to be the same as a Ted Nolan team with Derek Plante, Brian Holzinger, and Mike Peca

Ted Nolan doesn't mesh well with that kind of talent.

He'll be gone when it matters. Perfect coach for Murray to have while we suck.

I love Teddy, but I have to agree with you. And it's not fair.

He wasn't Murray's pick, though. I know Murray could have let Ted go, but he knows what he's doing. For all those on here giving Regier credit - and deservedly so - Murray has done some things to "enable" his franchise to stay on course.

I think if Murray had been brought in first, though, we may have seen Luke Richardson here right now. Probably wouldn't have made much difference though, because if these sorry-as$ players won't play for a guy like Ted, they probably wouldn't play for anyone.

Miller with 2nd straight shut out, 5th of the season.

Vancouver was out shot 28 to 17.

There he goes making another team look better than they are
