Even though these words are not his, we know that he is.
He has done absolutely nothing to help this team or coach to get any better.
I call what Tim is doing as cowardly and unprofessional.
Yea sure Darcy made a few faux pas, especially Hodgson, but he also set Murray up pretty well with his stockpile of draft picks.
Not impressed with Tim at all. Even Darcy wouldn't sit pat watching his coach suffer this way with this roster. |

These players we have are lazy and it's been noticed and pointed out by Brad May last night along with a few others on the NHL network. You can't fix lazy |

Fasching with a goal tonight. Bounced off him in front of the net. Has drawn two penalties too. I'm rooting for this guy to be one of the ones who be a difference maker on the Sabres.

Exactly, Ted can talk till he is blue in the face, which he has.
If a player has "checked out" they aren't going to listen.
If Steve Ott were still here, that would not be going on in that dressing room nor on the ice.
I don't blame any of this on Nolan, he is the very least of our worries.
It's a shame what Murray has turned this club into the short time he has been here.
I don't blame Patty for leaving if he knew this is what was in store.
Apparently Murray didn't like the challenge of building a team the proper way.
He would much rather take the easy path which to me, whenever anyone in their job field goes for the easy path, tells me everything I need to know about their character, their make up as an individual.
Tim's a loser in my eyes. |

If Murray built the team the "proper" way, tell me, where was he going to get the guy worth building your franchise around? Where was he going to get that guy you absolutely need to get a championship? Pat LaFontaine's "way" would have got this team a few more heroic marches to 9th place, maybe 7th or 8th if the stars aligned. I want greatness. I want elite players. I want the type of players you can't get anywhere else but the draft because teams are too smart to let them go. I want a championship in this town, and to get that, you need a player worth building a franchise around. The closest thing to a sure bet in getting that is at the top of the draft. Murray isn't being "cowardly and unprofessional". He's doing what should have been done after 2008, something that Darcy Regier figured out way too late.

How can I respect someone that is "fat catting" and trying to make a great name for himself while dragging his coaches through the mud to make himself look great eventually.
Never liked the hire from the start. Now I know why my gut was right. Usually is. |

I think there's a reason the Sabres never called Ott's agent back. 1 is that he might have screwed up the tank. and 2, by the time we got good, he would be in retirement territory. Probably best for him to possibly get a cup with St. Louis.
I think Tim is just continuing the path Darcy started.
Darcy said as much...."suffering."

So let me get this straight:
If the Sabres win the Cup in four or five years because they obtained the elite talent at the top of the draft, it's not going to matter because Tim Murray did a "dishonorable" thing in 2015. If this team gets a championship, or even near a championship, people will forget that this year ever happened. Ask any Pittsburgh fan if they're bitter about 2003 and 2004. |

No, I wouldn't. I want a championship above all else...which is why I want Nolan gone as soon as possible. |

I don't think ANYONE can turn this team around.....and no one has a crystal ball for future talent or coaching.

You are kidding, right?
Murray has been here for a year. It takes time.
What do you expect him to do, trade Stafford for Toews and flip Weber for Keith?
Most of this bunch is from Darcy, not Murray.
Poor Ted. Guess what? He signed the deal. No one forced him to and if he didn't see what was going on here, then he's an idiot!

Doesn't seem like any other team was rushing to hire him either.... It was Buffalo or Latvia.
Neither seems like a good choice now. |

Exactly.
Murray brought in guys to get us to the cap, nothing else, not to win or to please Nolan. This year is about getting one of two "generational" players. IMO, next year Murray will be trying a hell of a lot harder in the offseason to leverage other teams cap problems into good returns via trades.
The products on the ice sucks but if you want talent like McEichel, this is what has to happen. |
