True, and he could have gone back to Latvia. His choice.

How can I respect someone that is "fat catting" and trying to make a great name for himself while dragging his coaches through the mud to make himself look great eventually.

Never liked the hire from the start. Now I know why my gut was right. Usually is.

Exactly.

Murray brought in guys to get us to the cap, nothing else, not to win or to please Nolan. This year is about getting one of two "generational" players. IMO, next year Murray will be trying a hell of a lot harder in the offseason to leverage other teams cap problems into good returns via trades.

The products on the ice sucks but if you want talent like McEichel, this is what has to happen.

- BigStew

Yes those guys (Benoit, Meszaros) were brought in for a cap purpose, however, for those on here calling Murray a "loser", he did bring in character guys (Gorges, Gionta) and traded for a guy who gives Mr. Nolan 1000% every night (Deslauriers).

Nope. But I think the Sabres can outlast these other teams.

As much as I wanted their pick to be high. Good for them. That's another team that has been in limbo for like, 10 years. Fans got to be happy.
Really REALLY wish we got their pick last year!

Yea good for them, finally turning to corner. Can still get a good guy in the late first this year though.

Or, if possible, packaged w/STL 1st to move up. Only so many pro contracts to go around and we have a lot in the pipeline moving up at the same time.

Question is how far up the first round could hypothetically say the 24th and 28th picks get you.

The Islanders were very good 2 years ago and needed a goalie and a couple defensemen last year. Well they got them and now they are playing like the team that should have beat the Pens in the playoffs those same 2 years ago.

I think that could move you in 15 Maybe ...

i don't know what the pick for Myers would be IF ( moved )

but i would trade both first , 2nd to move up or add a player / prospect

I know thats tough to predict, but it only takes one team to bite. Hypothetically, Dallas at around 10 or 11, might be good for them. Actually might make sense for Toronto but who knows what their plan is going ahead.

if we do land McEichel i would offer sheet the sh!t out of vladimir tarasenko

have a franchise center and a franchise wing

like a ryan getzlaf, corey perry

if not just draft a winger in the top 5 next year

To actually sign him to a deal St. Louis wouldn't match wouldn't we be giving up 4 1sts?

Yeah, we need a winger immediately for a McEichel, not 3 years down the road.
