To actually sign him to a deal St. Louis wouldn't match wouldn't we be giving up 4 1sts? - sbroads24
Yea that would be pretty crazy to give up. I like Tarasenko, but I don't liek the idea of 4 1sts for him |

4 1sts would be for an average above 8.41M/year. 6.7-8.4M would cost 2 1sts, 1 2nd and 1 3rd. as per wiki. |

trade it move up and take Konecny or Jeremy Roy ( if we trade myers use that pick for him) - gerbe75pts
IF we get a first for myers....4 1st round picks...that is "WELCOME TO BUFFALO Taylor Hall" territory...with plenty to spare |

I think Boedker coudl be a good pickup from Arizona. Wouldn't cost as mcuh as Tarasenko and he is young and has good skill, although inconsistant at times. |

These are the kinds of ideas I hope TM is seriously pondering right now. Although the only idea that really matters is the one you pull the trigger on. |

I dunno why many of the people on here are complaining? This is exactly what most of the Sabres fan base wanted. Hell we were complaining on July 1st when Murray signed Moulson, McCormick, Meszaros, Gionta and brought in Gorges. This is exactly what this franchise needs. This is why it is called a rebuild. Stop with the complaining. Tank on. We need top end talent. We will be in a similar situation next season. |

"Tank on" makes perfect sense to me. I support it. However these games have been brutal to watch and not fun at all. It's difficult to watch the games and switch off emotional attachment. We'll be better for it in the near future, but this is a VERY bitter medicine. |

if we do land McEichel i would offer sheet the sh!t out of vladimir tarasenko
have a franchise center and a franchise wing
like a ryan getzlaf, corey perry
if not just draft a winger in the top 5 next year - gerbe75pts
Are you friggin out of your mind? You do realize we will be a bottom 5 team next season right? Offersheeting the s**t out Tarasenko would just give a possible Auston Matthews to St. Louis. If we do land the 1st overall next season I would go on and trade Reinhart for a star winger or if Reinhart is cool with it convert him or Matthews to wing. |

True. But it wasn't going to be easy. We are on the right track right now, even though it doesn't seem to look like it. After next season we will start making huge strides IMO. Unlike Edmonton and Toronto our drafting has set us up very well. |

You'd give up 4 1st rounders for Tarasenko? You are out of your mind.. ... That's what it takes to get one of the leagues best. Like Crosby, Tavares etc... Tarasenko isn't one of the best in the league YET. Way to much for a player that so far has had one good season to warrant that type of return. |

I guess I was hoping the Sabres were one year ahead of your projection. They've done a fantastic job of hoarding young talent and picks. |

4 1sts is too much, but if 2 1sts, a 2nd and a 3rd gets it done, I'd go for it. But I think I'm more optimistic about 15-16' than you are. |

After this summers draft, i'm done with the draft. The team needs to be built. Fcuk more first round picks and waiting another year.
If we score McEichel and have Rinehart, Girgensons, Gringo and Armia....Plus Moulson and Ennis.....Go grab someone....preferably from a team that is so against the cap that they cant match or are going to have to make some real tough decisions about it. Add one more FA and all of a sudden, we're rolling next season. We'll have at least 5 or 6 years of good hockey to re stock our pick/prospect pool. After this summer, I'm not looking at the next best player. We need to get over that crap. picking in 2016 and waiting for that kid to develop for 3 years is not part of TM's plan. At all.

As much as I wanted their pick to be high. Good for them. That's another team that has been in limbo for like, 10 years. Fans got to be happy.
Really REALLY wish we got their pick last year! - seedy
Crazy that Garth Snow actually made a move that worked banking on this year's team to be good. Imagine if they were at the bottom of the standings with the Sabres. If you were the guy that gave up the pick that turned into McDavid you'd never work in the league again. |

This has been Murray's plan.
Fat catting off of Darcy + unprofessionalism >>>>>> Nolans name and career
- sbroads24 Fixed!
The entire league knows of this tanking and, it's shameful...disgraceful!
Sorry I have PRIDE just like Patty Lafontaine, I would never go along with the clown show that beady eyed fcuk is producing.
Bravo for Murray's douchbaggery!
If I were Nolan, and I didn't get a fair shake after this season of being made to coach an AHL roster on an NHL team, I would beat the fcuk out Murray if I were Nolan.
Not only is Murray ruining Nolans coaching career but he, in the end, may be taking away from his family, that is where you get physical with someone.
I guess we will see in time.
Hell if Teddy asked me, i'd beat the fcuk outta Tim for him and gladly accept the few days in jail.
2 things in life I can't stand in life.
Cowards.
&
Cowards that always look for the easy way out and build themselves off of others labor. (Insert Darcy)
I am so happy that Patty kept his pride no matter the dollar amount and left on his terms.
Some people can't be bought. Some. I wouldn't of went along with this embarrassment either.
Note: Thank God I am listening to my Irish heritage music (celtic) Secret Garden this morning (Pastorale) which means spiritual landscape otherwise this post may have been worse.
That above ^^^^ was calm for me. |

I will my Irish brother.
But only if he gives Nolan a fair shake after putting him through a season of coaching AHL talent and worse on an NHL team.
Sorry what is being done to Teddy is just wrong, period!
The poor man looks exhausted from coaching this fcuking steaming pile of shlt. |
