The ads here are a little out of control. The page will refresh on me for the sake of refreshing the ads and wipe out what im typing halfway through. And i totally understand that ads are necessary, but its just a bit too intrusive when it starts to effect the useability of the site.

Those aren't ads. It's a security issue with HB. Basically HB has terrible security and were all getting exposed to malware and such. Happy posting!

That was part of my point, the convincing of free agents to come here. Think about what kind of damage the Sabres have done to thier image. Josh Georges loses his mind almost nightly in post game pressers. He came from a 100+ point Montreal team. You think he regrets his choice? Absolutely. As far as league image were the team in a city that never wins championships, let its 2 captains walk, let its franchise goalie get bulled over and now is the worst team statistically and effort wise probably ever. The only way that changes is if we get Mcdavid. Guys will want to play with him. It has to be Mcdavid because he's considered the god, Eichel won't have the level of mystique around him.
- Buffalo-Sabres

This team definitely has some image problems stemming from Darcy not doing anything after Miller got bowled over.
He claimed trading Gaustad was the beginning of the rebuild, but if thats the case, it went way too slowly and why did he bring in Leino and Erhoff then?
Murray has a lot to straighten out. Im pretty sure at least 75% of this team are placeholders right now.

Perhaps, winning will ultimately help people forget about all that. I don't think they hurt it themselves. It's just a reality that if Buffalo gets into a bidding war with LA, Chicago, NYC they'll lose 9 out of 10 times. It adds to the necessity of drafting well (and high). But i agree with your McDavid point, much like Crosby has done for Pittsburgh.

I'm at work, so I don't have adblock here. But I've had issues with the site completely redirecting me to a random page. The only way to get back is to close my browser and start over.

this site really is bad. security is stupid, ids exposed in the url, ridiculous popups/ads and if you use adblock it pops up asking you to donate because you use adblock, and its unusable on mobile.

even hfboards is bad. cant believe nobody has come up with a good alternative that is in line with the current state of the internet.

i guess getting it popular is the hard part, though.

Favorite quote i heard was "cheer to win but don't be disappointed if they lose"

My biggest fear right now is whats going to happen after the deadline..

We have some decent mid level prospects but from what we've all seen they could almost all really benefit from the extra time developing in Rochester (Pysyk should be up imo). Injurys are one thing but armia grigo larsson schaller mcCabe have all improved since last year greatly so why not let let development together has a core. There's a good chance there are few holes that will be in the lineup and it's really not the time to interrupt a players development to throw them into this mess.

Side rant.. Trade/wave/anything Meszaros is a pathetic excuse for what a teammate should be Visibly doesnt care and losing or not, its just ugly

I have every beleif that he is on the roster all due to Murray. I bet there is a back story something like he was the 1st guy Murray talked his uncle into selecting or somethign along those lines. He is here to get us to the cap and have a nice nest egg for when he retires.

Dear god it's hilarious watching this board lose it's mind over what's happening. That 10-3 stretch was good for the crowd that likes to see wins but man did it give some false hope.

Won as in hoping for McDavid but settling for Eichel?

Either way is good, but what you were hoping for is better.

still disappointing when you think you are getting a C and it turns out to be a A.. but that is just the pre-game festivities anyway, the game means more
