Favorite quote i heard was "cheer to win but don't be disappointed if they lose"

My biggest fear right now is whats going to happen after the deadline..

We have some decent mid level prospects but from what we've all seen they could almost all really benefit from the extra time developing in Rochester (Pysyk should be up imo). Injurys are one thing but armia grigo larsson schaller mcCabe have all improved since last year greatly so why not let let development together has a core. There's a good chance there are few holes that will be in the lineup and it's really not the time to interrupt a players development to throw them into this mess.

Side rant.. Trade/wave/anything Meszaros is a pathetic excuse for what a teammate should be Visibly doesnt care and losing or not, its just ugly

- yen6d1

I think Georges should fight Mezaros in a lockeroom boxing match like they have in the NFL.

Dear god it's hilarious watching this board lose it's mind over what's happening. That 10-3 stretch was good for the crowd that likes to see wins but man did it give some false hope.
- theblueandgold

I think the overreaction to that stretch is the same as the overreaction to last night's game. Every team in the league has a few stinkers each year. Some teams have the talent to overcome days where they mailed it in. Unfortunately we don't.

Coho.
He is just beyond bad.
Wasn't it one of Darcy's last moves giving him that 4mil/yr contract?

Won as in hoping for McDavid but settling for Eichel?

Either way is good, but what you were hoping for is better.

- The Don

One thing about Eichel is we could send him to Rochester immediately.
If he truly blows the doors off the league, bring him up.
If not, he learns the pro game in Rochester.

With McDavid, its Sabres or Junior.
He could actually not make an impact immediately.

Yup.
I've said it before, you have to try to be THAT bad.
a puck is going to bounce in off you once in a while if you're near the net.

We could send him but he wouldn't leave school to go ride another bus...

NCAA is more like the Pro Game than Junior is.

He is NHL ready

I saw at one point late in the third things got a little chippy in near the net after the whistle. Coho was there. I've never seen a player so disinterested in mixing it up in my life. He couldn't even do the typical 'hey I'm a smaller guy who won't fight but I'm going to posture up like a care about being a Sabre'. I can't imagine the things the other teams players get away with saying to him.

The Sabres have 31 points through 43 games, and are heading south. Over/Under on 56.5 total?

Justin Cuthbert

Under. Slam dunk. The Sabres finished with a league-worst 52 points last season with a better roster and without the incentive of one Connor McDavid. With the Coyotes selling and the Oilers Oilersing, the Sabres understand they need to up their tank game to make it all worth while.

Alas, winning 13 of their final 38 games, or losing enough in extra time to accrue the equivalent - they only have three all season - isn't happening.

The Sabres stink worse than their record. And as we've learned, these things tend to even themselves out.

Thomas Drance

Under.

The Sabres are the worst team in decades, certainly since the expansion Atlanta Thrashers.

I think they'll fall short of 56.5 and by a wide margin. Hopefully their momentary streak of decent play stands as a reminder to all of us that even the worst team can reel off respectable results over a small sample size.

Justin Bourne

I should've set that bar lower. We're all on the same page here. The Sabres are so bad I can't help but wonder if Tim Murray doesn't watch, do the awkward collar tug and mutter stuff under his breath like, "You may have made this 'trying to lose' thing a bit too obvious here, Timmy."

I could have sworn someone down in Rochester was struggling with the frequency of games in the AHL vs. College.
Plus, he would be getting a nice paycheck, not just riding another bus.
