Sabres don't want or need ROR. ROR has been overrated for a long time. He's a an average 2nd line center. Guy is on pace for 40 some points. Only reason he had the top notch season last year was because of Statsny. If Mackinnon is coming back that's great. Anyone else we do not want. The one player Murray is interested in is Maantha. No thanks to an average second line center.

I don't see any scenario where mantha has more value then mackinnon. With that said if Detroit isn't even interested in mantha for Myers I can't see anyway in hell Colorado doesn't hang up the second you say mackinnons name.

I don't see anywhere in my previous post that I've said Mantha has more value than Mackinnon. So dunno where you getting this from. The argument was if it was Mackinnon coming back in that trade then it would make sense. Mackinnon easily has more value then Maantha. If Murray is smart he'd hang up the phone the second he heard ROR for Myers. Look at the #2 center's stats in Colorado. They'll be so much worse in Buffalo.

how bout you look up the evidence about the man before you start implying your opinion as fact. Everyone is slumping compared to last year..Landy, Dutch, MacKinnon, are they all over rated too, so only saying he is over rated bc he is on pace for 40 points, how bout you look at his defensive side (still top in the league in take aways) as well as his possession numbers.


Point is even on bad or average years he has very impressive numbers, and they only get stronger when he is playing top line minutes. Its not perfect with him, based on contract, but hes a real valuable asset, on the cusp of being a 1st line Winger, but can always default to a 1B/ or straight 2C. I wouldnt want to trade him but he really is the only logical trade chip the Avs have.

i think the cost of acquiring him will be too high- specifically because of his contract. we are simply in no position to let him walk after the end of next season if we are giving up anything that matters.

I know you guys dont want him based on all that, but to discredit what he actually brings to a team is a little foolish. Its the same reasons why you dont want him is why we have accepted he needs to go. Just the uncertainty of that contract.

But if it does work out somehow and he becomes a Sabre, just know you are getting one hell of a player

So you're saying last season was the norm and this season an anomaly? I'm not judging one way or the other....but what if last season was the anomaly and this season's production is the norm for this team?

With Darcy out West, I wonder if he'd be interested in any of his old pieces for his rebuild?

This season offensively is slow for the whole team, but everything that makes him the strong 2 way Center/Winger is still there. Those havent changed.

Last season should be his typical (which has really has been for the past 3 seasons, the 20 goals, 50 point mark). He is only 23 as well, He hasnt hit his prime yet. He is on the same career path as Kesler based on production, faceoff ability, and 2 way ability.
