He has a 52 CF% since returning from his injury which is pretty good on a team that is below average in possession numbers.
Obviously there's a lot more to judging a Dman than shot attempt stats, but when MacDonald's Corsi numbers were bad there were a bunch of articles which used them to call him one of the worst defensemmam in the league among other things. So it's something worth mentioning.

Well, you know how I feel about Corsi when looking at individual players. I do find it ironic that a lot of the criticism levied towards MacDonald was about Corsi numbers, but where is the objectivity when he has good Corsi numbers? The bottom line is that any source claiming that MacDonald isn't a good defenseman, can't be coming from actually watching the player play.
