Heard over the weekend that for the world cup of hockey in addition to the already ridiculous idea of having a "rest of europe team" (side note, this will include slovakian players as the country itself apparently will not be represented at the tournament)

There will also be a U-24 North American team. But what makes it really interesting is that they will apparently have first priority on players under 24 who are picked to both the national team and this under 24 team.

I don't understand it to be honest, all it does is make the tournament look like more of a novelty/joke than it already was considered.

I just don't understand how they expect anyone to take this tournament seriously if they're doing childish crap like this. It's the kind of thing 12 year old me would have done on creation mode in an nhl video game.

Nice read about Murray's great ASSets (Wow i need to stop). But good point at the end finding a team with a young scorer that could be traded. I know that Seguin trades dont happen often but it's hard not to look towards tampa for a young gunslinger. Kucherov? Just thinking of a young scorer that could possibly be moved.

Anyone else you guys would dream to target thats not completely unrealistic?

what do we have that could help Tampa though? they are pretty good on D (once they get players back) and Goalie.. we don't have forwards and it would be a swap.

if we are dreaming then what about Teuvo Teravainen.
