I feel like a nice T-bone and baked potato for dinner. But if it doesn't happen, I'll just find some branches and dog poop instead.

He is still on the roster and still part of our cap. When he comes back they are going to make a decision on what to do with him. Most people think they offered him a front office gig and he is deciding if he wants to retire and take it or play out the season.

Was just wondering, never saw him waived but believed he wouldn't necessarily report to any team that claimed him if put on waivers... and thought he wouldn't like being placed on waivers either.
His low salary wouldn't have much of an impact either way. Just find this stuff interesting, the nuts and bolts of it, as it isn't commonplace.

Yeah no prob. They sort of have a "gentleman's agreement" with him to not trade him or waive him without his approval. There is no clause in the contract its just our GM showing his class to a legend like Marty. |
