Hey ... I thought M&M was a rap guy from Detroit? And who dunks donuts? Thanks for importing KFC and McDonald's to Canada. That's why we have medicare! Next time I'm in the US I'll be sure to pick up some possum stew and chicken fried steak!

Any of our American friends ever tried a nice warm beaver tail?

I may need to stay seated at my desk for another 10 mintues after thinking about one.

- As_I_See_It

Yes. In New England they are a popular treat at the beach but go by the very boring name of "fried dough". I used to indulge whenever we were vacationing at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire.

Hold on a sec...

Turkish Delight is a Canadian treat?

I would hope that the fact it us called Turkish delight, might tip our American friends off to the fact that it is more of a Turkish thing, than Canadian.

I guess if The Knights play in London Ontario then Turkish Delight must come from Istanbul Manitoba.

Is this really what the season has come to for you? Very sad! Hopefully Yotes fans will remember these days hostilely in a couple of years.

Well, I think the specific chocolate bar with that name might be Canadian? Beats me.

Indeed. I suppose I could have devoted 1000 words to OEL being selected to the allstar game, but .......it's the allstar game.

Don't be daft. You should write a paragraph on why every player who didn't make the all-star game was snubbed.

Canadian foods ranked in order

1. Poutine, this stuff is the tits
2. Ketchup chips, also the tits but there can only be one #1
3. Coffee crisp, also could be #1
4. All dressed chips, they were alright but ketchup blows them away

- znagle

I would edit this list and put Dad's chocolate chip oatmeal cookies as #1... best cookies to dunk in milk ever.

Ketchup chips and coffee crsip i knew about, all dressed chips i did not know. They don't have HP sauce either

They have a looooot of different flavours that we don't have here, especially with herseys chocolate.

I'm Canadian and I've never heard or had Turkish delight or whatever that is. I like Coffee crisp but not my favorite...i'll take a kit kat, reeses pieces, mirage, mars, rolo or caramilk before coffee crisp. As a kid I also liked the Crunchie but I haven't had one of those in a lot of years.

As for chips well I don't like Ketchup or all dressed. I like Sour cream and onions, hickory sticks and BBQ corn chips.

A poutine with bacon made with cheese curds is awesome.

Didn't know they didn't have some of these things in the USA. You always think that most of the more popular things they would have there too.

Quick question for Americans- is New York Fries a huge hit in the states or just up here in Canada- amazing that so many people line up to spend $7+ on a cup of (frank)ing French fries...

Most chocolate bars you can't get in the states, same with a lot of chip flavours.
My General thought was that mcdonalds and Burger King is EVERYWHERE in the states, so they'd rather spend a buck for a burger or a barell of pop than a candy bar. I was 35 mins from a fast food resteraunt in Canada, now I have 4 within 10 walking minutes from me in the states.
Now I know that isn't the case in all of Canada, but that's just my 2 cents haha

We get Ketchup Lays in Buffalo, they are pretty good. I would kill to try one of those Coffee Crisp though it sounds delicious!!! I love chocolate covered espresso beans I would assume it would taste similar but in bar form.

Really does sound Australia is a loooong way away for good reason.

Have you guys (Canada or US), got Vegemite over there. Now that's an Aussie delicacy that I love on a sandwich with honey or any style of chip - burger rings probably my favourite. Or just on its on own on toast or buttered bread.

See you guys got the memo, play close & if by some miracle you get a tied game at the end of 60min, do NOT under any circumstance score another goal, & if it becomes a SO - hit the post, goalie or just miss the net completely!

Unfortunately the Oilers get carried away & still try to win in OT which is going to bite their arse come lottery time.

I used to live in North Carolina and everyone thought I was crazy when I mentioned ketchup chips or even fries and gravy. KFC served mashed potatoes and biscuits lol.
