Wasn't there a Sens fan on here a few weeks ago saying they'd do Vinny for Gryba and Greening? I'd totally do that, and the money makes sense for the Sens after July 1 -- Vinny's real salary lower than cap hit, opposite for Greening. - Tomahawk
I would do that deal too. Greening can still play on the 4th line effectively I think. |

Oh yeah, Greening isn't good, but hes younger and cheaper...Gryba is another limited 5-6 guy, but he's not expensive - Jsaquella
He's better than Umberger and Rinaldo, too.
Gryba's a plug, but at least he's a righty. |

I thought this same thing. I'm down trading young, top 6 forwards for defensive defenseman who might be top 4. |

There are real questions about Cowen's game and hockey sense, that's for sure. I read Garrioch and Yost enough to know that |

Doc was horrible the other night. "Simmonds tripods the puck..."
we were all like... "WTF did he just say? He's just making words up now." - Doc_Sarcasm
I was all over that |

The thing is, I can see Bryan Murray as a guy who would do a Schenn package -- he is a believer in Canadian kids like Luke Schenn, might think he could salvage him because he plays hard
Doesn't make Murray an easy mark, or an imbecile. Just one of those guys who thinks a Canadian kid in a Canadian city will figure it out, sometimes |

Yup.
You think OTT would trade him tho? They don't have much in the pipeline. You'd think to get him Hexy would have to send over one of our better D kids along w/ whatever top-6 forward they'd be sacrificing. - Tomahawk

Done, because Stone's a natural winger and Wiercioch can likely help us more than Luke Schenn, going forward
Make no mistake, though: there's some risk there, if Baby Schenn figures this poop out

And we know the Flyers pro scouts have a massive hard on for great big dmen who play the puck like a grenade.

We're 55 seconds into the game and we already know where Jaden Schwartz was born and where he went to college. |

I read the article and LeBrun is just spitballing, but I could see something like Schenn Bros for Cowen, Stone and a second -- could totally see some poop like that, if Hextall goes looking for picks and wants Luke Schenn's contract gone |

Stone's offensive upside is pretty up there, too... close to Schenn's.
Wiercioch could be a Franson, maybe. |

Fire up the bus and get me that pick!!
It's a tough one, because B.Schenn could still easily be the best guy out of the deal. Stone has been solid for the Sens, and has been productive in the AHL and juniors, not sure he has the same upside. |

Do you ever think, because of your fandom, that you sometimes, maybe overvalue the Flyers' players just a bit? Perfectly natural. We all do it from time to time. |
