Jackets have 4 games at hand on the Flyers and are 2 points behind them. I think they'll pass the Flyers pretty soon.
3rd is as high as they can get, but teams like Jersey and Arizona may start selling off some of their more talented players - PhillySportsGuy
I'd be happy top-10, but I'm praying for top-5. |

Yes.
Weber is the new Pronger. A complete dman is so hard to find. He is a monster of a man, he shoots the puck harder than anyone in the NHL (Chara maybe but I think Weber passed him by now) he eats minutes, fights, a true leader.
I am glad everyday that you guys didn't get Weber, not that it matters when you're playing my Pens you win regarless. Its just nice that we dont have to worry about losing to you in the playoffs this year, like we would be if you'd of traded for Weber. - stackthepads

They'd have cap problems to the tune of not being able to sign Jake |

The morale of this team is so low. I see things trending in the wrong direction. If the effort level drops off for G or Voracek, this team is as bad as anybody. |

Their entire bottom 6 would be players on veteran minimum deals…and Umberger |

I was seriously more relieved that NSH matched than when Cleary ran back into Holland's arms. Players going out the door, cap problems, lack of 1sts... it would have been really ugly. |

They do have enough injuries right now where it could get sideways, but the All-Star Break might give them a breather |

Not to get too specific about this poop, but there were several moves made because of the Flyers need for a defenseman. The cap problems would have been there regardless and the depth would still be a problem. |

If Nashville would have let Shea walk, I'd be known as GiG, Doctor of Pharmacy by their next first rounder rolled around

A veteran team with nothing to play for is a difficult one to motivate. They'll probably get up for the big games against the Pens. I'm just not sure we'll see the fight if they fall behind 2-0 in Detroit |

Yes, but if they felt there was a chance to work out a deal for Weber, I'm not sure they would have pulled the trigger on that deal. |

Voracek and Giroux are gonna go hard, because of the scoring race and because they are competitive...I think the majority of them will follow
I wonder where Vinny and Umberger's head might be

After Clutterbuck killed our team, I quit watching. Nobody responded, so I responded by taking the dog out for a dump, and a walk. The Flyers are just as sad as the '06 team. No heart, no soul. just blah. Richards, and Carter couldn't lead this team, and maybe it's time for G to take a walk. Nobody on this team can look into the mirror, and say that they did a good job. Shame on them. There is some talent on the team, but they sure do quit on the coach, and fans when times get tough. Wish I hadn't wasted my money on the rest of the season; stupid center ice. |
