There is a great deal of score board watching tonight from within the organization, and not just those teams jockeying for position with Buffalo's pick. There is a great deal watching those teams currently with 50 points or above, and they are watching the St. Louis and New York Islanders positioning in that league standings bracket.

It will continue until the end of the season, under stand that. Until the end of the season. In other words, don't expect either of those 1st rd picks to move at the deadline.

I'm not in any of the Sabres or FNC offices and not sure you are either but I'm pretty sure 99% of us could have written this too. Anyhoo, didn't think the Oilers had that comeback in them but damn happy they did.

Edmonton..

Reading the Oilers message board I'm surprised that many are happy that they won. Totally different outlook than many of us have toward a tank. I guess that is what happens when you have had the top pick multiple times recently.

which would be better?...awarding the first overall pick to phoenix this season or the following season with Arizona-born auston Matthews up top?

If there's truly a conspiracy in NHL with the lottery, I'd see them getting both.
McDavid + Mathews turns that franchise around...
Obv the NHL is doing everything they can to keep the team in Phoenix... Getting them 2 stud players will certainly help.
Although, I see them picking in the top5 for the next couple years regardless

I think they do specials on beer, but not positive. They do have a decent craft beer selection as well.

The people who would be pulling the conspiracy strings aren't dumb enough to give them both of those players. I think it would be obvious that there was tampering if that happened.
