Wilson has said he won't be going after any rentals. - SJSharks39

I hope Wilson is looking for another job because when we bow out of the playoffs again hes going to get fired. |

After tonight SJ has 8 days off, that helps ease the Braun and Wingles injuries if they are truly only going be out a few weeks. Hopefully....
What's the story with Fedun? Has he been playing poorly or has he just fallen out of favor? |

Good. This team is more than a player or two away from legitimately contending for the cup, but has some great pieces for a retool or an on-the-fly rebuild, depending on the way you look at it. - FinAddict
Unless we find a goalie we arent contending for anything. We dont even have a semi legit bottom pairing D. I dont see it. |

We're kinda stuck with Nemo though, if you trade him & get no goalie back in return, Grosenick would be the back up then...... i don't think i'm comfortable with that. |

Right i'd agree we need a top 9 forward & top 4 defenseman to have any shot at a cup run this year. |

Were never stuck with anyone, Wilson chooses to be. Anyways Wilson missed the boat on Niemi so maybe your right. |

In all seriousness, I would appreciate it if Juggles puts Hertl,Kennedy, and Mcginn back together. - Sharksdivision
It's gotta be a lonely island out there with your love for Mcginn. I'm just not a big Mcginn fan.............Using a godfather reference he's fredo of the Mcginn brothers. |

Wilson should've moved him inthe offseason but put himself in this predicament b/c he overvalued Nemo's importance to this years team. |

Horrible, dude can't play which makes the 4th line worthess now & won't be able to log that much ice time.
How long will Nieto last up inthe top 6? Todd always has a quick (frank)ing hook with him whenever he's inthe top 6. |

Hey Tim do you know anything about Schoenborn? I know we got him in last draft but Im curious if anyone knows his potential? Anyways Im excited to be moving up to Oregon from CA and will be able to see some Winterhawks games this year. They also have guys like Bjorkstrand, Turgeon and Petan. - BeastModeS62
Schoenborn (Pronounced Shane-born apparently) is a good depth player playing on a team STACKED with talent. The Winterhawks have a lot of good players, and he's their resident tough guy. Anyone can actually catch the radio broadcast of the Winterhawk games on the web. I listen in sometimes. I caught the 8-2 drubbing of Prince George a few days ago. Every time I heard Schoenborn mentioned he was hitting someone or trying to fight. He scored a goal too so I was hoping for a Gordie Howe Hat Trick. |

I wonder what it would take to get Andrei Vasilevskiy from the Lightning? Sure, he's unproven, but he has a ton of potential. He was a beast last year in the WJ.
Bishop is still young & talented, so the Lightning shouldn't need to hang on to Vasilevskiy too tightly. ...or at least I wouldn't think they'd need two goalies of that calibre.
It be risky, since I imagine the price would be high, but if the Lightning are willing to part with him, I think the Sharks should roll those dice. He's got huge upside & could potentially solve Sharks problems in net (while keeping the team young).
...Even if he doesn't live up to his potential, I don't think it's possible for him to not live up to Niemi or Stalock's skill levels.

I can't see the Sharks trading away all the assets it'd cost, furthermore we just drafted Fredrik Bergvik in 2013 they're pretty high on him.
Whoever the Sharks go after inthe offseason it'll be someone who has some experience to go along with Stalock IMO. |

Not to be a downer but I think we are more than 2-3 rentals away from being a contender anyway. We don't really have many vets we can trade and DW certainly won't be giving away a pick or prospect to acquire help. As much as it is great to say "our roster would be better if we added this player for nothing", I just don't see it being too realistic at this point. Not to say he won't make a move around the deadline because he usually does. But if he does make a trade it will probably be one of our current roster players for a younger roster player / prospect.
The thing is (and DW knows this) if he goes all in again and fails again he will for sure get fired. But if he says "this is a multi season process" and shows it by not going all in this season, he will likely be given the opportunity to stick around 2-3 more seasons. |

Might be traded:
Wingels
Kennedy
Torres
Sheppard
Nieto
Karlsson
McGinn
Goodrow
Stalock
Very unlikely to be traded:
Thornton
Marleau
Pavelski
Couture
Hertl
Burns
Vlasic
Braun
Dillon
Mueller
No one would trade anything of value for them:
Brown
Desjardins
Scott
Irwin
Hannan
Tennyson
Niemi
