Not going to argue. One is a scum bag the other is the president (that's all I can say).

But enough of that. What do you think will be the first Sabres trade

I Tappen. Yikes.

That aside I thought the show was hysterical, and it was nice to see all those drunk hockey players not taking themselves too seriously.

Could you imagine if that was an NFL draft?

Amerks won 3-2. Nice end to end rush goal by Armia.

Don't think a bad wrist injury makes him injury prone. Anything else was minor.

Didn't know that. He's the goal scorer we badly need.

He's had a few concussions. For a big guy who isn't the most physical he has had a few injuries

Armia is probably our highest ranking winger in the system right now, and it's a position we're pretty thin at, at the moment. So it feels like there's a lot of near future riding on his development. But we do have some wingers coming up 2-3 years behind him, though.

Especially if you can get a guy like McFranchise to play with him for years to come.

IDK haven't watched much of Armia but he seems like Vanek 2.0 and I am not ok with that. I get it Vanek was a 40 goal scorer but he had no heart and was lazy as sh!t.

I don't think he's vanek like (in regards to laziness) but even if he was i really don't see the big deal. If he's consistently putting up 30 goals and isn't the main guy up front like they tried to do with vanek then it shouldn't be a problem.

Vanek would not have been a problem by any means without the offer sheet in 2007. I doubt that happens again.

And I know someone's going to try to blame Darcy Regier for that, but you really can't. Any offer sheet is going to have to be a gross overpayment. If you do an offer sheet at or near market value, it's almost a guarantee the other team will match. The idea is to make it high enough to tempt the other team to walk away.

yea that was the other factor. But i mean between his overpayment and the role they basically forced him into he was doomed to fail. It doesn't look like either will happen with Armia.

I think the blame on regier (and/or maybe golisano) is that they had a chance to extend some of these guys before hand but decided to play hardball instead (vanek and briere come to mind). Didn't Briere at one point ask for a Roy-esque contract?
