And Nolan will not be behind the bench - homiedclown
Nolan will be here for at least one more season.

I don't know. He could end up gone after this season. I think who they end up getting in the draft is what will determine that to be honest. |

If we get either McDavid or Eichel, and they are with the big club along with Reinhart, Murray will have his man behind the bench IMO |

I hope they find a way to trade up to 9 or 10 in this draft and find a way to get Rantanen |

I think the same thing. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I don't hate Nolan, but they need better than him, IMO. |

I think Nolan is given another year unless Murray can lure someone like Babcock or Hitchcock here. Or just anyone with cock in the last name |

There is a place for Nolan moving forward IMO, just not behind the bench.
If they could create a position where he is hands on with the sabres and rochester, I think that would be a good thing |

Yep but what some failed to realize is, Murray has his guy in Nolan, he offered him the contract and Nolan signed it. Nolan and Murray knew the deal going in and Murray still gave him the contract, he didn't have to but he did. |

I don't think he's gone. Right now he's obviously a part of tank. Just look at some of those lines he puts together. He works hard trying to talk up a good one. All part of the plan. |

Hitchcock is a bum we don't need that fat ass, he got lucky 1 year and when the Blues don't win this year, he's a goner. |

Maybe. Though I think his forte is with the older guys, not so much the kids. |

Right, but I don't know that he's part of the future plan. He's part of the "now" plan. Like I said, I don't hate him, I just don't think he's the right guy another year or two down the road. |

Even if he got lucky, his track record Is a lot better than Nolan's.
I just find it tough to believe Nolan will be here past next season at the latest |

Only thing going on right now is how to tank and talking up a good one, like "compete" then put crap lines together and bench Risto after one of his better games.

He had a previous coach/player relationship with Girgensons. And as far as Risto and Big Z go, that's still questionable. The only reason they're here is because they pretty much had to be. Risto lucked out with Pysyk getting injured during training camp, otherwise I think that would have played out differently. Big Z forced Murray's hand and it would be stupid to have him here all season and not playing. |

That's fine but if we don't see any actual progress by mid next year I would think he is gone and that Murray wouldn't hesitate to can him. |

I never thought Teddy was brought in for the very long haul here. He seemed to be asked to walk a fine line of coaching up young players on a talent-deficient roster without crushing their spirit and confidence while still being at the bottom of the standings.
I would not be surprised if they found a spot for Nolan elsewhere in the organization when the next coach is brought in. whether he wants that spot or not would of course be up to him. He seems like he loves working directly with the players. |
