Thanks.

And in other old news, U.S. astronauts walked on the moon.

I'd stab my brain 10 minutes into my first law school lecture.

I just wanna waltz into a court room, take a dump on the judge's desk, and say, I'm out!"

At least we have Tyrell Goulbourne on the way!
- NickTheKid87

Goulbourne gets his PIMs from wrecking guys in fights. He's not a loose cannon like Rinaldo.

Flyers miss the playoffs..
- seaofgreen

Better hope the pens get their crap together. They arent secure in a playoff spot right now and they are losing way more then they are winning. Besides itll just be another first round bounce for the pens if they make it. Way too soft for post season. My god nobody responded to rinaldos hit on letang!

This Penguins team, if they can get healthy, is their best since 08/09.

The Flyers made an investment in Rinaldo by resigning him to a two year deal in the hope that he would mature and improve as a player. What the Flyers need to do is send a further message to Rinaldo, that his actions are not acceptable. He needs further punishment then just how many games he is suspended by the League. They have to send a clear message to Rinaldo, and he has to spend significant time in the Flyers doghouse, in hope of getting through to the player. I'm not one of those who feel that Rinaldo is a useless player with zero ability. However, it's come to the point where the risk and liability has begun to outweigh the ability and usefulness of the player. If he can't mature and grow as a player, then the Flyers need to move on. The Flyers are not without dirt on their hands, as they are partly responsible for the player that Rinaldo is also.
- MJL

He needs to spend some serious time in the AHL changing his game. In his current state, he's not a useful NHL player.

You're right. However a fan of team that in recent years has employed players like Matt Cooke, James Neal and Steve Downie should stop throwing stones inside of his glass house.

You won't get any of that ivory tower stuff from me. Pittsburgh often recalls rats for potentially violent games. Farnham is the latest example. Ryan Craig (the 2011 Farnham) was recalled for that 2/11/11 Islanders plight, and the Penguins tried out Carcillo. I don't care if Downie can kinda play. Brett Sterling could kinda play, too. There's a reason the Penguins get into stretches of games with multiple fights and shady hits. I love Mario but I love it more when he's not trying to have it both ways and making noise about it.

The peculiar thing I took from the article was this notion that "In order to be an effective hockey player, Zac Rinaldo must skate a very fine line between being an aggressive player and being a reckless one." This is a flawed philosophy. The league seems to be experiencing a very high volume of rats. I don't know why so many teams allow for borderline reckless, usually undisciplined players to prove that they can do something violent. I think it's a culturally toxic element to modern hockey.

Ehrhoff and Paul Martin are pretty good, very underrated I think.

Adding Perron was big.

Losing Maatta hurts though.

Dupuis is done.

I object to this witness being called at this time. We've been given no prior notice he'd testify. No discovery of any tests he's conducted or reports he's prepared. And as the court is aware, the defense is entitled to advance notice of any witness who will testify, particularly to those who will give scientific evidence, so that we can properly prepare for cross-examination, as well as to give the defense an opportunity to have the witness's reports reviewed by a defense expert, who might then be in a position to contradict the veracity of his conclusions.

They have a fairly good vottom-6, which was what cost them in 12/13. Their defense is the best it's been in years, probably on par with 08/09. MAF finally remembered how to play in April.

The only thing holding them back is injuries, especially the one to Maata.

The hit is one thing, and should be dealt with accordingly.

The other issue is that Rinaldo brings little else to the team aside from walking the line, and is too much of a liability to the team for that little else.

Rinaldo can go long stretches where he's effective (as much as he can be) where he gets in on the forecheck, makes a few big hits, and plays a more or less adequate fundamental game.

But when you factor in the needless penalties he takes and the fact that he strays from the "clean" aspect with some of his hits, his level of skill is not worth his liability.
