HAHA, Theres some pretty sick ass hands out there man. Giroux, Oshie, Malkin, Crosby, Datsyuk, Nyquist, Drouin, Stamkos, St.Louis, etc., etc. but Kane is on another level and I dont have some love affair for Kane either. Just respect his puckhandling skills. |

I think some of those pucks were edited in after the fact. - twotoekenn
Some of the peripheral ones, I think so. The ones Kane is actually "using" I don't think so. |

Maybe, but he definitely moves one with his foot at the end... There's a clear path for him in the puck layout. Not that it's even remotely easy. And who knows how many takes it took for him to get it. |

As somebody said earlier...I'm glad he's not on the Flyers. Too much skill, he'd make Rinaldo feel bad about himself. |

And don't ever, EVER put your stick out to try and knock down or deflect an airborn shot. This isn't baseball.

I would kill to have Giroux and Kane on the same line.
Those two would light the world on fire. |

I agree with that in most cases because the timing of it has to be perfect, or you take yourself out of the play. I've seen Timonen slide down to break up two on one's though on a bunch of occasions. Not something you want to do often, but when doen right, it can be effective. |

I guess right now is it safe to say that McDavid and Eichel have a chance to be generational talents, while about another 10 or so players have a chance to be terrific players at the NHL level? - PLindbergh31
I'd say more than 10 more players |

I love playing against D men that go belly down on an odd man rush.
It's the guy that goes down to one knee that creates trouble. |

There's probably some law of physics they'd be breaking that would cause the universe to unravel with their skills.
I don't even want to think about G, Jake and Kane on the same team... Although maybe we get a to see a light version of that at the ASG. |

Claude Giroux has some pretty dirty hands but he would look pedestrian next to Kane. - GOA88
Rob Schremp might just be one of the most purely skilled players ever, but he couldn't do any of that poop under pressure, lol. G might have a shade lesser hands, but his execution under pressure is ridiculous.
Too bad for Schremp that hockey doesn't have an And1 team, lol. |

Great to hear. Flyers should end up with a great prospect. Slowly but surely the pipeline is starting to be stocked.
Do you think any players other than McDavid and Eichel will start in the NHL? |

Anyone read Panotchs article on CSNPhilly? Its not bad. The one thing that I laugh at is people saying Homer created a mess and got a "promotion". You know what promotion he got? The same one Roseman got. Here is some money and new title now step aside. |

Stretching out to break up a pass... maybe OK in certain circumstances.
But man, do I hate when after a goal you see one dman's sprawled out at the goalie's feet, and the other's behind him in the butterfly... you just know the goalie just wants to blocker punch them both in the nuts. |

On the overwhelming majority of plays, it's not a good idea. Mostly done in a panic and it just creates further chaos. |

Interesting.
Jack Eichel and Connor McDavid need to succeed. Considering the absurd amount of hype around these two prospects, it’s vital that they’re put in spots that have high potential for growth.
They must go to places where they can help push the game to new and unseen heights. They need to go to places that have never seen prodigies with their prodigious skill sets.
In that case … for the love of god please Arizona and Carolina tank. Tank worse than you’ve ever tanked before in your history. Do all in your power to make sure Eichel and McDavid don’t end up with Edmonton and Buffalo, the two poster children for crappola franchises.
We need one of you to save hockey in the desert. We need the other to be the heir apparent to Eric Staal and bring back the playoff hockey tailgates we knew and loved in Carolina’s runs to the Cup Final.
The last thing we need is for either to end up in Edmonton/Hoth or the recovering industrial paradise known as Buffalo – though one would get a ton of national TV love with the latter.
To paraphrase Wayne’s World – you’re not worthy.

On the decline of crease clearing shot blocking Dmen - Just5
Not a bad article but too heavy on anecdotal evidence and not enough raw information. Although I tend to agree with him. Rask's comments are particularly interesting. Does anyone think to ask the goalies how they want the defense in front of them to play? |
