Happened a few years ago to Datsyuk and Lidstrom. If you bow out of the ASG, claiming injury, you either have to miss the game before or the game after. It's stupid, but they have to protect the integrity of the circus |

Yeah, I'm glad they acted against him. I found it odd that he was all of a sudden injured right before the ASG. |

I know you hate the all-star game, but it absolutely has a part.
I remember being 8,9, 10 years old. My friends and I would all get together for the skills comp. and the game. For the next god only know how many weeks, we would act out things we saw. We would learn the names of the guys that were "stars" that we didnt know. We learned to love hockey for more than just our few favorites on our team. |

Remember when we had heated battles about Richie not working out. Remember certain members vehemently arguing that it was a farce.
Well here is a tweet from Bob McKenzie
Lombardi had a chance, last June, to buy out the final six seasons of Richards’ contract. Instead, he kept Richards, encouraged by what he believed to be Richards’ re-dedication to training and fitness.
Strange right? |

STFU! We all know the ASG is meant for adults. It's time we make drastic changes. Next year, hardest shot will be done with a defenseman laying in front of the net. |

10-15 years ago, guys actually tried at the ASG, they saw it as an honor rather than a burden. Now there's too much at stake to risk injuries, etc. Really changed when Richter got hurt during the Rangers skills competition in the late 90s |

Don't you have to be dedicated first, in order to be re-dedicated?
