I have high hopes for this kid, but hes still a kid. I played golf with one of the sabres over the summer and he rolled his eyes when i asked about zadarov. Said he showed up at like 230 pounds, but he wasnt strong- which was the opposite of Ristolainen who showed up carved out of wood. I guess zadarov signed a lease on an apartment, well before he had any reasonable expectation to be here- which chapped some vets on the team. Curiously, the only other youngin he had anything bad to say about was brendan lemieux- said that he was way cocky and not near ready. Anyway, zadarov did get in shape before he forced his way onto the roster, but he still needs to play in rochester for awhile. Giving him a crack on the wrist for showing up late is exactly what i want, teach him to play and show him hes not special. Too much there to let it not be developed properly.

Zadorov is such a wild card in all of this. He was drafted 16th, so he isn't expected to be a star, but he seems like such a boom or bust player

Thats interesting i thought lemieux was a Richard(wasnt a fan), i remember in the blue vs gold game he kept taking late runs at risto and both times ended up on the wrong end of it. He's got that little $hit head smirk too.

In regards to zads...i think hes just a dumb teenager lol (also in a foreign country) he'll be fine. The best thing for him is to have strong competition. Right now he doesn't he knows that he:... cant be sent down... benoit and messzaros blow...and mike weber is welll...mike weber
