I turn the game on to try and watch it, and I last about 2 minutes. Even with the good teams in the playoffs. It's awful in my opinion. - MJL
I don't see how you can watch the Spurs or the Warriors or the Hawks and not enjoy it. Basketball purists get orgasms from watching those teams execute.
I don't know a person on earth who didn't enjoy watching the Spurs team game dismantle the Heat last year in the Finals. |

The Oilers were gifted 3 #1 picks. Hinkie has had the 11th overall pick and the 3rd overall pick. He made trades for others. - PhillySportsGuy
I'm talking about team construction. I don't see a Crosby/Malkin or a Toews/Kane on the Sixers (and I think you need one to win the championship). I see a lot of Hall/RNH/Yakupov. |

I grew up watching the NBA in the 80's that was a golden era. The NBA game today in my opinion is pretty much unwatchable and is really a disgrace to the game and the legacy of the League. IMO - MJL
Does that reflect on the talent entering the league, though? The NBA's biggest problem is the NBA, in my expert non-viewer opinion.
I'll just throw this out there, since we're on topic: despite being remarkably decisive, I think the last two minutes of an NBA basketball game are far and away the worst sports viewing out there. I'd rather watch a whole soccer match, in slow motion and reverse. |

Also about how much you can posterize the guy defending you, taking 4 steps to dunk, being a thug, and palming the ball 100% of the time you're dribbling up court.
Give me the early 90s with Jordan and company any day. Nowadays, who wants to learn to shoot a 3-pointer when you can just dunk and get on SportsCenter? - jmatchett383
The 3 pointer has never been a bigger part of the game than it is now. The value of shooters is at an all time high. |

I'd hold off on the Oilers comparisons until the Sixers have been tanking for at least seven years. |

Well two of our "top drafts" Noel and Embid both didn't play their first year in NBA. And MCW has been great for us. and they weren't true #1s. It;s not like we have Wiggins, Davis, and Irving. |

Teams have too many timeouts. There have been thoughts of eliminating all but 2 timeouts in the final 5 minutes of the game for each team. |

I agree, guys like LeBron James don't care about their street image, their personal bigger-than-the-game image, the amount of posters they can be on dunking over guys, or the amount of DUNKS!!! they can get on SportsCenter. |

Come on, that's untrue. The NBA is full of prominent role models who teach values like good teamwork, positive attitudes, moral high grounds, putting others before yourself, and playing by the rules while not putting yourself on a pedestal.
I hope my kids turn out like Metta World Peace. There's a human being to aspire to. Only because I can't remember the name of the dude who choked his own coach. |

Kyle Korver and Steph Curry are probably the best shooters in the NBA right now. Kyle Korver has a chance to become the first player ever with a 50% FG percentage, 50% 3pt percentage and 90% free throw percentage |
