I chuckled reading Scott Cullen's column on TSN earlier today, where he suggests possible landing spots/trading partners with the Kings and Richards... and there they were... the Flyers, about halfway down his list offering MacD or VCL.

The escrow percentage is not what is going to cause teams to behave differently. What would change how teams can behave, is where the cap is set at, not what escrow is. That's cart before the horse. The CAD falling is not anything new.

No, it's not, it's a guess. Which is why it has to be raised. It's a result, not an indicator. What will change is how teams can act, is where the cap ends up.

You and I have both agreed that teams are reluctant to take on term at times such as the deadline, due to not having a clear picture of the cap. I don't see how this changes that from what it already was.
