Funny thing is if that farquad guy hadn't gotten schooled by bellemare, maybe. He'd be getting a longer crack at that job. - Hextall271
Farnham isn't a NHLer. Lapierre, despite being a wiener, is a decent player. |

Yeah. It's not a bad trade for the pens. Letang with 5 assists tonight. Guess he wasn't badly hurt.
Also read how Crosby said that Rino should show some remorse for hurting letang?? Maybe he should concentrate on not skipping all star games for imaginary injuries when he's the supposed face if the nhl. |

Joking aside, it's been a long while since I've had this much confidence in our tending. Like its an absolute strength. I also really like how he says he made adjustments on his approach to shootouts. Never satisfied and always looking to improve. I just hope we can get him a competent d in short order. |

Its so bitter/sweet its disgusting. I still rather see wins any day of the week. I find it impossible to root for them to lose. |

Yep. That's what I'm saying. If the flyers did that, the nhl would revoke the franchise. Pitt it's ok. They're just defending themselves. |

Don't get me started on the ASG...I hate it.
I do feel if Rinaldo came out and said something like, "It was an unfortunate hit, I wasn't trying to hurt Kris, I anticipated him turning sooner and unfortunately got him from behind. I hope he's OK" Then he gets fewer than 8 games, rather than, "i changed the game! |

Agreed but what reason does Crosby have to beak off about this? I don't like the asg but its done to promote the game and I'm sorry. If you're making 8.7 mil a year, make a damned effort to go and promote the game as its biggest star. If you can't play go and scmooze. Do you think jake and g could have used some rest? Damn right they could but they went. |

Getting a top 5 pick does not guarantee success in the long term.
Losing out on a top 5 pick does not guarantee being unsuccessful for the long term. |

Meh, he was asked about it, he wasn't riffing on it. Can't really rip the guy for answering a dumb question.
I get the whole "promote the game" angle...but the ASG is usually awful. Better way to promote the game is to have a huge rivalry Saturday with wall to wall coverage.
After the fun and silliness of the draft and skills competition, the game was a boring and half hearted attempt at hockey |

Meh. The way I see it draft position is pretty much the same value in this draft from 4 to like 15 and there are at least 4 teams in the league that are much worse then the Flyers and will finish below them regardless of what the Flyers do sans losing 28, 93, and 35 at the same time. So hoping for McDavid or Eichle is a pipe dream unless they get lucky on lottery day. They already have a very promising set of d prospects and a young forward core and a very good goalie. The future is bright already and whatever they get in this draft is icing on the cake. They just need some tweeking here and there and to shed a contract or 2 and add a few picks in this draft and maybe a new coach (for the record I'm not in the "Berube is the anti-christ crowd") and they're golden. Winning is more valuable to this team then losing.

I think they just need to look at a different format. The guys just go through the motions in the game. I suspect if you Asked the fans in cbj if they were disappointed Crosby wasn't there they'd say yes. If He's the chosen one he has to be more of an ambassador in instances like these. |
