Flynn - in the middle - lets the puck carrier advance well into the right side of the zone without pressuring the puck.
Gionta - on the left wing - never gets back.
Gorges - from the left side - leaves the goal scorer to walk out into the circle and attack the puck.
Myers - from the right side, away from the puck - sags off his mark, and after Gorges' mark receives the pass has to decide whether to cover Gorges mark on the left side of the net, or Monahan, who is camped directly in front of the net waiting for a pass. He gives Enroth the shooter, who walks in from the left side and scores.
What rabbit hole did you go down to interpret this as "Myers getting owned?" - Der Kaiser
THIS
I was gonna say that if Myers had went for Gaudreau and he passed it to the open guy in front of the net who then scored, it would be "Myers is so bad he left that guy in front of the net completely open!" |

So this is what you focused on in that entire post?
Can't say that I am surprised frankly, because it is what Myers apologists do.
Ciao for now, things to do I'll check back later. |

Was there another point to your "entire post?"
since that goal was scored, you've posted at least 4 times asserting that Myers got owned by a midget on the goal. I just wanted to be sure we were looking at the same thing.
When you get back from your "things to do," please let me know what part of the play I described you see differently. I'll come back later myself to see your response. It will help gauge whether your criticism of Myers is based in actualities, or something else. |

Not to change the topic from a riveting fresh discussion. IS anyone worried GMTM is overplaying his hand?
I know it is early and there is a lot of time left before the deadline. |

I go back and forth on this. Part of me thinks that this is going to be a buyer's market in a big, big way. But then I think that his main goal is to finish last and that means hanging on to this group as long as possible as the plan is working. If I get a 3 instead of a 2 for Staff because I kept him too long, so be it. I am more worried about getting someone from the minors that cares.

In regards to holding onto his assets?
Perron has been the only significant trade to date. I'm sure TM and the rest of the league is posturing for trades. |

100% you dont want to be like Snow last year with vanek and the HAbs where you wait so long it comes back to bite you..
I really want the ufas traded for whatever you can get..then i'll get picky at the draft.
Come draft day my wish list would be a proven winger, a boom or bust (kuzsnetov type) and depending on the talent of the proven winger maybe move up into 10-15 range |

WGR: Was it a tough call, the suspension for Zadorov?
TM: Nope
(pause)
Man, I hoped he was just going to leave it at that, but he played radio and expanded on it. |
