Snow got a bad rap with this one. Almost nobody had the cap space to take Vanek but he did work out a nice deal for a much better return (I think with the Leafs). The condition is that the Isles had to take back some salary and the owner refused to do it.

The only thing I "fear" is that when the draft is in Buffalo, teams don't bother with the usual thanking of the local city because of it.
