Stafford is a who he is, a 45-55 point players on a decent team playing with good line mates. He is not someone that could carry a team (Darcy thought otherwise which is why he gets so much hate)

There's no point in trading Myers right now. He's playing better, and I think the Sabres get more value out of services rendered than any return a team is willing to offer at this point.

You need multiple solid defensemen to be a championship team. However, if this team is ever to become one, someone is going to have to end up being "better" than Tyler Myers.

As of now, defense of the future looks something like this...

That would move Pysyk up to the 2nd pair
If we trade Myers, and even one of those guys can't fill their role, our defense could go from pretty awesome to pretty suspect

I was only willing to trade Myers if we had gotten Ekblad
If we do trade Myers now, that's a major hole that needs to be filled IMO

They could always add a D man in free agency, another trade (which I know sounds like we'd be spinning our wheels), and not to mention we have 5 picks in the top 60, so they'll probably draft a couple D men in the first 2 rounds.

Again, though, it's almost got to be a fool-proof trade.

Any of those 3 would be outstanding, but like you said, they're probably not giving up Vatanen or Lindholm unless we're sweetening the deal, as I'm sure we'd be targeting a forward of theirs, as well.

That would be a pretty good concept. Instead of it being a "rumor" site, it's just a site where people can come to read about their favorite teams and converse with their peers.

This site has a cap portion to it, but I've never really used it. I started out using NHLnumbers then switched to Capgeek. But since Capgeek is no longer, I haven't been able to make the switch back to NHLnumbers. Just seems much more difficult to navigate.
