Seems like he accrued most of those pluses behind Umberger's line.
Umby was getting set up on a tee all night, lol. - Tomahawk
He's actually not a bad net front guy. If that line generates time in the offensive zone, he should see his share of scoring chances. It's just difficult for the team to gain possession in the offensive zone with their zone start %, QoC and Umberger's poor puck control/passing ability.

Yeah... and Read on one leg, too.
Usage was a big factor last night... 'Yotes don't really have one outstanding line so Chief was matching Coots up equally against Gagner and Hanzal lines and allowing G to go head to head versus Vermette/Doan. Seems to have worked to that line's benefit, judging by the stats.

Read's shooting percentage is ridiculously low right now. (like Matt Carle territory). He'd need to score on his next 12 shots in order to get back to his usual 15% shooting percentage. He's definitely been worse this year, but I have to think he's had some really bad puck luck. His shots per game aren't down that much to see such a dip in production.

Hexy says he will have an announcement on Kimmo in a day or two. Sounds like he might return if I'm reading tea leaves correctly.

Yeah, don't see a huge difference in where his shots are coming from either.

I'd be pleased but shocked if the doctors gave him to go ahead.

Sorry, the HB parser fails with the URL. - Tomahawk
Just one of those weird things. I wouldn't be surprised if this just passes and he becomes Matt Read again. It just seems way too weird to have a guy consistently shoot 15% then suddenly drop to 3.4%
