Don't they have the 2nd best record in NHL since Dec 1st or something? - BingoLady
could be but they're not playing hockey that will win in the playoffs. no issue with Price being their best player but there's no reason for them to be getting out possessed the way they've been lately. |

Habs got lucky on more than one occasion last night, including Emelin's goal. Could have been a blowout if not for a lot of lucky bounces. BUt their PK was very good so there is that. |

Both teams missed at least 5 open nets. Pacioretty looked like Higgins last night. |

I think MB is about to pull the trigger on his D move. I can see Petry or Michalek coming our way in near future.
As for the offense, i have a feeling something is brewing with SJ but that won't happen before summer. - soad_live
you think he'll pull the trigger on his D? |

That falls squarely on the d.
The 'ring around the boards' in panic mode, leads to turn overs, and defensive zone face offs.. |

I think he will need to clear waivers if he's sent back down. - stinger67
Who cares, do you honnestly see Dumont has an NHLER ?
I dont, but I agree on a 4th line I would rather see him now than Thomas |

I'd say his biggest concern should be protecting Price, because if he goes down, Lord have mercy.. - pete26
I was thinking that , when I saw Goligosky hit price on purpose in the 3rd...
Probably the 29 other team would have jumped on him...but not in MTL... |

Eric Engels: Will Therrien Tweak his System to Improve the Canadiens?
Marc Bergevin has to be wondering what he can do to influence a positive change in the way his team plays the game. He's not meddled in his coach's decisions and strategies, but he must be biting his tongue right now. It's hard to imagine a couple of personnel changes dramatically altering the team's possession deficiency, granted, they might relegate certain players back into the roles you expect to see them in (see Weise, Dale) - EricEngels
The Habs have too many passengers in the forward group. They treat the puck like a hot potato. Bournival and Thomas are not NHL quality players (Bournival is fringe). Malholtra aside from his faceoff prowess has been invisible offensively.
Though Weise has played great, having him in the top six doesn't help the team with 5 on 5 scoring. |

Hate to say it, but having a guy like Chris Neil on the 4th line would be very nice. |

Said it last year. They lost the series to NYR when noone jumped Kreider after he hit Price. |
