Those returns are not realistic as teams don't just fit 7 and 8 million dollar players into their lineup. As young roster players, and prospects have entry level cap hits.

The big contracts will be moved in the summer. At the deadline, you could move JVR, santo, winnik, franson. Those are easy to fit.

I agree we may have to take back salary...hence the deals will take longer

Couldnt agree more...we've never properly rebuilt..ive been debating a blowup forever...we have leafs fans talking about holding onto santorelli and winnik as they are valuable going forward..i know its just opinion on here, but man o man

Teams been poope for 11 years. 6 of last 7 weve drafted top 10. 3x in the bottom 5..contrary to popular belief - we stink.

Use our second round picks to trade for some veteran players on draft day. Work the free agent market place to bring in some heart and soul players. And the new coach gets to choose which kids make the roster. Complete blood transfusion is required here.

I wouldn't trade that pick (assuming the Sabres get it) for the entire Leafs organization.
