All I know that is if Timo gets traded, that team automatically becomes the team I root for in the playoffs.

I find it funny that the Rangers, Pens and Islanders won't have a first round pick in this year's draft

typically id be much more gloom and doom, but i absolutely love what perron is bringing.

He's been good. Had a good game last night. Still think the Pens could use some help with their depth though. A guy like Vermette would be a perfect addition, but he's likely too expensive.

I will find a way to make it to the game for Kimmo's first game back. Such a great competitor.

id absolutely love vermette. but yeah. he is going to be way too pricey for what the pens can afford. but i think he would be a perfect third line center. with the makeup of this team, i would take him over sutter.

winnik would be good. and i liked that they tried for him. sucks they were shot down. id also like santorelli.

its cool though. that trade last night has cup written all over it.

eventually, a crosby line flanked by hornqvist and perron has to happen.

I think I would write a #1 song and have a threesome with Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton before that happens.

The Preds deal from a position of weakness because they value picks/prospects way more than other teams due to their financial restraints.

Jagr will cost a 1st rounder. Thats a lot to give for a rental.

- PhillySportsGuy

You're talking about the team that traded a first rounder for Paul Gaustad.

They planned on re-signing him long term from the beginning though. Jagr would definitely be a rental.

It was still a bad deal though. They've only traded their first rounder twice despite always being in the playoff hunt. One time they traded back for it.

And that one time was one of the best Flyers deals ever. It was basically 2 months of Forsberg for Upshall, Parent, Timonen, and Hartnell. It was sad to see Forsberg go, but the return was great, even without trading the first back.

Edit: Holmgren sucks.

According to Rangers' fans, it doesn't matter, because they don't draft well in the first round anyway.

Just checked and they were right. I am still glad they don't have a pick

I told them we'd gladly trade 2nd and 3rd round picks for their equivalent in first round picks, and was soundly told to go to hell, more or less.

That move would get a GM canned.

I think his value tops out at a 2nd these days. If a team is going to give up a 1st they'd probably rather get Streit.

I can see him getting moved to LA, NSH or NYI. I don't see much of a point for him to come back and not get a shot at the cup.

If we are getting the 1st rounder back do you really care if that other team then fires their GM?
