My opinion on it is that there isn't a fan who has more insight and information available to them then the team does. That includes the GM, coaches, and medical doctors who have actually examined the player. Not to mention feedback from the player. Unless of course you want to look back in history and see a past incident, and just assume because something happened in the past, then we should doubt and criticize this situation. Rather then look at the available facts.

So we're no longer allowed to use past incidents as possible glimpses into what the future holds?

Simon Gagne and JVR both played games with concussion symptoms and cost themselves lengthy time away from the game, but I think the staff has only been actually sued a handful of times.

Primeau, Roenick and Kapanen all played with concussions during the 2004 playoffs.

I didn't say that you did say that, nor was it my intent to imply that you did. It's simply a statement on the situation, and what I think happened.
- MJL

So why did you get all defensive and bring up possible further risk?

He had a head cold. That's a fact. Emery started. That's a fact. I think the 2 are related. I...I really don't know what you're arguing here

What is a better indicator of whether Mason should've dressed for the last game? That he played in the game without issue, and played well? Or that Eric Lindros got on the plane?

Thank you.

I always wondered what it was like. So I did it early on a Saturday morning. Sadly, my parents got out of bed as I was doing it. They asked me why I was doing it, and I just kinda stood there without answering.

I didn't get all offensive. Simply continued within the context of the conversation.

Well, according to reports, he didn't get through the game without further issue.

I bring up Eric Lindros as a fact that the medical staff is not infallible.

I think that since he had an ice bag on his knee (indicating inflammation) and limped away from the interview (indicating he had pain) tells us there was an issue.

I said defensive, not offensive.

So do you agree that he was suffering from a health condition (a head cold) in the last game?

Do you think that condition contributed to the decision to start Emery over him?

That was my only point until you started arguing about I'm still not sure what.

He played the entire game from the point of when he relieved Emery, including OT and the shootout, and played very well.

I have not stated or denied that he had a head cold and wasn't 100%. You're making a completely different argument. You came into the argument obviously without an idea of what my position is.

That could be happening for a while. The issue is whether he was capable of playing and whether he should've been dressed for the game.

Your position was that the staff felt confident that he was at no risk to injure himself further by playing, which is why he was dressed.

I simply stated the he was not at full health due to his head cold. I don't know how you can argue that, but...well, somehow you did.
