during that 5 year span, how much has playing forward inflated those numbers? - nails
While that may be true, its also an amazing thing that he can pretty much play ANYWHERE and be an impact player. Hell, with his size he'd probably be a freak goalie. |

This is very true.
Hedman's the only guy who's natural set of tools comes close, IMO. - Tomahawk
I said earlier this season he is the #1 dman i would want. I think he will only get better and meaner. That is the package. |

This is probably crazy, but...given his season, if he can fill out over the summer, is it possible that Sanheim makes the club full-time before those 3? - jmatchett383
I wouldn't be surprised. He looked really good last year. His ability to read plays and jump in at appropriate times is elite for his age. |

I can deal with that in 15-16 if Ghost, Morin and Hagg are all developing well in the AHL and pushing hard to get on the Flyers. - Feanor
Same. |

Yup... the skating is what's freakish about him and Buff. Dudes that big shouldn't be able to move like that. |

At this moment in time, I agree, but if it really came down to it, I'd probably still take Weber. When you talk "mean" he's got it over Hedman. He can go from zero to insane at the flip of a switch. |

I think Sanheim's the one that the surest bet to crack the squad, but not sure 16/17 is his year. |

I'm saying that, in the sentence he wrote, he said he was the only player who was offensive and a huge physical presence. And I disagreed. See below
"Zdeno Chara is the only player in the NHL who is 6'9. In fact, he's one of the only players who's big and has won a Norris Trophy."
See how the meaning can change from one sentence to the next. - jmatchett383
If you want to ignore one sentence to lock on the other, sure the meaning will change. If you read the entire post, it's pretty clear what he meant. |

Yes...and he said it was implied, which was not how I took it. He has since clarified, and I agreed. |

It's not out of the question, but I think they send him back to Junior. Maybe after a 9 game stint on the team at the start of the season.
I think one of Ghost or Morin will be full time NHLers by the end of next season. |

Not much, actually. He saw very limited usage as a wing over the years I selected. He was almost exclusively a D-man for the majority of the time period. |

Agree.
If he plays with the right partner, I think he is effective.
But, tis reminds me of a discussion over the summer about the flyers never getting the guy that either does it on his own or makes someone else better. they always seems to get the D man that needs the right partner to make themselves good. (I believe it was a AMac argument)
So, if Buff needs the right partner (i would say more stay at home, level headed, decent skater), doesn't that make him a better version of the same problem? |

Well, if he did make the team out of camp, the 9 (or less) game tryout is obviously what he'd be viewed in. But, kind of like Couturier, if he just looks too good to pass up...I guess the team's record over those 9 games would come into question as well. If they start 1-7-1 or something, they probably send him down. |

Morin and Ghost, hopefully.
Sanheim should be enrolled at Terry Murray Academy. |

Didn't the coach come out and the end of last season and say that he was moving him to forward for this year? |

Yep. I was talking with some Jets fans last year about their D, and the coach (can't remember his name) basically said that he was moving him up front this season. Oh well. |

That is correct.
Moved him back to D when they had 4 of their top 6 injured.
he doubled his point totals during his time on D |
