Still unsure of the available #1 goalie that was interested in playing in Buffalo

Who knows, in this day and age most are acquired specifically through trade. A few that come to mind are Bernier, Schneider, Bishop, Varly, Hiller etc etc etc.

You guys certainly had/have the assets to acquire one if wanted.

its been a while. we would take a night and go in to montreal (blurry) and then spend the rest of our stays in tremblant (also blurry!)

Coming into this year we had Makarov who was a rookie in Ahl last year and looked great towards the end of the season...
And Ullmark who was goalie of the year in Sweden as a 20yr old...
Both have taken a step back this year though
So as of now, I'd say its a question mark as to whether or not we have our future franchise goalie in the system or not

His save% is about the same as last year so I am not reading too much into his GAA.

Rochester has been a mess this season, esp on the road and pk.

Goaltending is the only reason this team has 31 points and not 21.

Arent we like 6-0 in shootouts? I think enroths save percentage is over .950 in shootouts. Thats ridiculous. We could easily have 3 or 4 fewer points just from that.

I said the same thing to Mike Harrington on Twitter tonight. Many of our third periods are crap, which is fine with me this year but next year? No.

I agree its a terrible habit, but more than half of these guys are elsewhere next year. i see myers and ristolainen getting chippier now, they arent ok with whats going on. Girgensons and ennis dont take many nights off. hoping the problem takes care of itself when the rest of the roster turns over.

That 10-3 stretch came solely from the goaltenders standing on their heads in games we were outshot by 15-20 shots.

They might be getting chippier but the team's conditioning might be called into question since they get their butts handed to them in many third periods.

That 10-3 stretch came solely from the goaltenders standing on their heads in games we were outshot by 15-20 shots.

No doubt. I think the average for the season is around 35-22 shots on goal. i dont know what happened to enroth- shell shocked, exhausted, hurt, is the book out on him? He certainly stole a few for us during that stretch.

Bottom line is that this is a historically bad team and I don't think my other team in the league can sink down to their depth.

I think so too. How can a coach who has a coached a team for most of two seasons to most likely the worst record in the league keep his job? Not to mention there has been little progress made in many areas, special teams, puck possession, SOG etc. But he hasn't had a lot to work with but If I had to bet TM finally gets the guy he wants to coach and develop Reinhart, McEichel, Armia, Grigs etc.

Bottom line is that this is a historically bad team and I don't think my other team in the league can sink down to their depth.
