Kassian and Lack for MDC and some warm body
I think it would make sense for both teams. Canucks need a top 6 prospect and the isles need a big forward and goalie depth.
I doubt Benning does that deal though.... he wants more help now - Mungo
I'd throw Higgins in as well. MDC |

They would still say (frank) no
If we are throwing in anything it would have to be a similar but crappier prospect ie. Shinky |

Lack Kassian Clendening for ROR? - VANTEL
I wonder what the cost would be to get Marcus Johannson out of Wash?
Kassian, Lack and Gaunce?
Or Hansen, and Kassian for Saad. |

I think you are right in that this is the only type of deal we could get for a package like that, and it's definitely a player who could be available
Edit: Personally though, I think I would prefer draft picks for any of our TDL moves - bezz44
I would love draft picks but Benning has to try to find a second line forward to make the playoffs. I still think he believes he can do it. |

I don't see Saad being moved , why would they? |

To me the islanders fancy themselves a contender. They got a ton of prospects. Now is their priority. Hell, give them Hansen |

5 mill in cap for 8 players. Considering Saad gets 4-4.5 that's rough. Even moving sharp doesn't make it work |

First package might be enough if Washington needs a backup but the second package you are way off. Add our first this year and maybe they don't hang up |

Yea, but if they want to go all in then why would they use a piece like MDC to get a bunch of spare parts when they could go after a top 6 forward like ROR or go for Yandle |

I think we need to face the music that the pieces we are looking to trade (Kassian, Lack, Higgins, Hansen) are not enticing enough to secure any A grade trade targets. I think if Benning does anything it will be in the same vein of thinking we have seen. Useful roster player for decent prospect on the brink of the NHL + okay draft pick |

Any good young prospect would cost a lot. Does Benning have the balls? Yes! Will he ? Probably not.
I think he will continue building around Bo Tanev Vey Virtanen MCCann and Demko.
I think he will look for a 2 B level forward to help us compete for the next two years until some relief from the farm.
I see Jensen COrrado and Clendening as next year's call ups |

I see this happening as well. Maybe ship out Bieksa in the off season to make room. Corey Pronman mentioned yesterday that he was impressed with Jensen in the Utica/Marlies game. I still think he won't be adding any top 6 help but will try to swap a vet for youth
Edit: I think we will see something like: Higgins, Bieksa, Weber out; Corrado, Jensen, Clendening in |

If both of these guys end up out of town I think Benning will go after a top 6 UFA |

Higgins is a really good player. He has been snake bitten as f@ck lately but the rest his game has been great imo. To bad I like the guy but he has struggled to get points. I think if we are out of a playoff spot a team like NYI could use him. |

I'm not suggesting he's not a useful player or a great player because he is. One of my favourite Canucks. But teams just aren't willing to part with their best pieces for depth. He is a great 3rd line player but if the shoe was on the other foot I sure as poop would not be okay with trading someone like Virtanen for a similar guy to Higgins like Hagelin |

Very slim Pickens in UFA under 30 forwards next year. Tlusty Hagelin Aand Zucerello are the big ticket names.
Jagr and Marty St.L are over 30 big names. |

He is an aging 3 Rd liner that has 6 goals. He is probably worth a 4 th rounder at this point. This team struggles to score goals. I am sure a younger faster Jensen could score 6 goals.
Can't keep hanging on to memories |

They may not have a choice. They may move both. If they trade Sharp they have 11 mill for 9 players. Saad gets 4.5. So 6.5 for 8 players. Oduya is a ufa as well. They may be forced to go all in |

TT will be playing there next year . Add Kassian and Higgins approx 2 mil each avg. 3 players at 5 mil . They will probably move Seabrook to this off season |
