Kid has great numbers last 2 years in AHL. W-L record not so hot this year, but GAA and SVP excellent. - grand-magus
Our farm seems a little light at goalie, but you really only need one very good one to come through. And there always seem to be solid vet goalies flying around each offseason. Probably far more important to make sure our D is stacked and goalie takes care of itself.

I wouldn't be shocked to see one of the three ufa goalies come back. Let's face it, even as bad as we are, starting goaltender jobs in the NHL don't fall off trees.
Beyond that, I think Makarov has a legit shot. His numbers are good, on a bad team.
Ullmark is the one, besides Makarov, that I'm most anxious to see.
If the Sabres could nab Subban, I'd do cartwheels. Don't know what it would take, though. Rask still has a good 6 years, I'd bet, so maybe the B's would be willing...

Probably take a vet, a prospect and a good pick.
I'm also intrigued by Ullmark, its those European goalies that seem to come out of nowhere to take the league by storm sometimes. And Mak has also been working his way up as well.

And even that wouldn't do it. I love Deslauries but there is no way he brings back even a medium prospect so I can't see trading him. - Slump Buster
Agreed. hard to think of a trade that makes sense. Good skater, hard shot, finishes checks, very reasonable salary. Exactly the type of player murray wants to acquire, why swap him out for a mid level prospect?

Exactly. Goalies are like running backs in that you don't worry about getting one as they are everywhere. We seem to be stacked at D so the next priorities are top-line C (things are going well) and scoring winger (stacked at lower levels, not so much in Rochester or current roster).
