Nope. I think we see some moves at the draft and this summer to greatly improve this team. I just am curious how the goalie thing shakes out. - SabresFaninIndiana
With the Canadian dollar going into the toilet and no signs that it will not continue to fall further, I have a hard time believing the cap is going to stay where the NHL is predicting. If this is the case, I see all these picks being valuable to pluck some RFA (or soon to be RFAs) from a couple teams that have cap problems. |

I think adding a guy like Sharp and maybe or maybe not keeping Stewart will make a difference, we need NHL players for next year and we have the picks and cash to make that happen. I still like Mike Richards and think he can make a difference as well. |

Lavy was out there to grab as a head coach and the Preds were smart enough to grab him, the Sabres have there man or they wouldn't have offered him the 3 year deal. They had every chance to walk from Nolan they had no tie to him he was brought in as a Temp, they gave him a contract because they wanted him. - SABRES 89
He was never TM's guy in the past. The Pegula's wanted him last year and signed him to a 3 year contract which is not that long in terms of contracts for coaches. They wanted him for the tank period but do you really think he is going to be around much longer after leading two teams to last overall? Leading a team to a record losing streak of games in regulation time? Terrible analytical stats where they rank 30th in the league in most categories? Leading a team of valuable, young, developing prospects? I certainly don't. |

Well he was TM's guy, that's what some can't seem to figure out. Murray has Pegula's ear on everything and it was agreed to by both to sign Nolan rather then bring in another coach. Murray said he doesn't want anyone that doesn't want to be here, coaches included. |

But Murray is great right, I mean what is your opinion on what kind of job Murray is doing?
Have you seen him help his coach at all this season?
Think about that.
This roster is void of confidence in the worst way.
I don't think the player on the ice has any confidence in the team mate that is on the ice with him to do anything positive.
Once this losing streak got past 8 you could see it in each players body language if not at some point during a game, you'd see it in an interview.
That's the worst type of lack of confidence to have in a team sport, the very worst.
Sorry but in my opinion that has nothing to do with coaching, its just lack of talent period. - BuffaloHardHat
Good lord.
Do you not see that what is going on is intentional on management's part?
Murray is doing a phenomenal job at what he set out to do. This is the only way. Has to be done.
And don't tell me Nolan is naive to all this. He knows what's going on here. Everybody in that organization does.
And Murray is doing a bang up job executing his plan.
For that, he gets an A+.

the goal should be eichel if we get connor mcdavid that's the cherry on top..
no one should be sad if we get eichel you're getting a better ryan getzlaf with jets on
really no one wants a ryan getzlaf? - gerbe75pts
No one is saying they don't want Eichel. The people that say McDavid or bust, like myself, think he is head and shoulders better. So yes, I would like Ryan Getzlaf, but I'd like Wayne Gretzky more. Obviously either point of view could be wrong. It will take at least 5 years to know which direction that goes. |

Hagelin, Skinner, Boedker could all be available. |

But IMO he will be, they gotta give him more for this team to turn the corner. These players in this team aren' the same type of players he had back when he was our coach before. - SABRES 89

I want a coach who can get his guys to play their best no matter what their talent. I don't care whether they are winning or losing, I care whether the coach has them at the top of their game. Nolan may have been able to do that before, but he isn't doing it now.
I don't want him back when the real talent is here because I want the real talent to play their very best too. |
