all 3 observations are right on....in particular #2...sharks were spot on in their coverage and zone play the whole damn game...

third 1-0 loss of the year (don't give rip abt the empty net goal)

It would help if Saad could finish some of the chances he gets because he gets more than his share.

You just have to wonder why that shot off his stick didn't hit a shinpad like most of his shots

Raanta misplaying the puck and being way out of position had more to do with it.

I was being facetious....and I'm just friggin' irritated after that mess of a game.

6-7 in January...good grief.

Crazy talk. Jimmy Carter has to be 90 years old. I really doubt he has anything left in the tank.

I swear, Rob. For as long as we both have been fans the Hawks have always sucked in January. Or maybe it just seems that way. I am too lazy to look up the actual numbers.

I knew the Hawks would slowly start to wear down late in the 3rd playing their 3rd game in 4 nights, so missing all those chances throughout the first 40-50 mins hurt even more. Niemi with a very rare solid outing against the Hawks. Could have played much better obviously, this was nothing like last nights domination in Anaheim, but i wasn't expecting it to be. Still though, even with the half ass effort the Hawks appeared to be the better team for the majority of the game until getting embarrassed in the final 5 minutes, and i like the way the team is starting to cut down the shots and chances against while facing some of the better Western teams on the road. Hopefully they keep that trend going over these next 3 games.

You forgot:

Frolik
Darling
Kane/Toews re-signing
Hammer re-signing
Smith re-signing
Bickell re-signing
Shaw re-signing
Seabrook re-signing
Crawford re-signing

Yep. Stan has done nothing that has made an impact, just cutting Dale's crust.

- CBHawks88

If you look at the sub-headers, you can see that I indicated trades, and signings excluding extensions (meaning players that he DIDN'T draft/bring in as GM). You can also see that I gave credit for the Hammer re-signing, saying that was his best move to date. But, hey, what's reading anyways right? It's completely overrated.

The Hawks generally win these games...wear out the other guys. Conditioning has never been a problem for these Hawks.

I think I failed to mention that GUSTAV FORSLING is CARL DAHLSTRÖM defensive partner in the Swedisg pro league with Linköping.

Good thing the Jets have hit the skids otherwise Hawks would be tucked in the Wild Card slot

Saad still makes "polite" (mis)passes to vets on the team when he himself is in a better scoring position than them.
