Missed the game and haven't been checking these boxscores for a while but..

Giroux with 16:30 and Voracek with 16 minutes of ice time yesterday?

Uhhh Craig?

Resting them for all the games they have over the next couple of days.. or not.
I would say it was the fact that they didnt generate much but who knows.

Not putting up a ppg pace in junior when he has an NHL frame already is concerning

There are other factors, as I'm sure OB18 will numerate...but the Frontenacs play a defense first system, have little offensive depth and move Crouse around a lot.

I think he's the kind of guy, where if you plug him in on a good line, he'll produce a ton, but if he has to be the driving force, you might be disappointed-just like JvR.

I do think Crouse will be a more well rounded guy than JvR-and at this point in Crouse's career compared to JvR in his draft year, it's a huge difference-and you will probably see more consistent physical play. But JvR is better in terms of pure offensive and finishing ability.

I'd say the best line last night was the Straka-White-Simmonds line, at least in terms of generating offensive chances. Giroux and Voracek's line got the puck into the zone, but the Leafs were very effective in sealing them up and preventing them from running amok.

Flyers were -18 actually. Don't get me wrong, I think Del Zotto played a pretty strong game, and has been playing well for a while now. If we want to talk shot differential, the Flyers got drastically outplayed in that aspect from the 2nd period on. Macdonald was the best Flyers defenseman in terms of shot differential in last night's game, and he has been one of the best for quite a while.

Nice to see the kids getting in to play. Sometimes having a bit of youthful enthusiasm or players looking to prove themselves works wonders.

Again, wont pretend to have seen much of them lately but I am not totally surprised that the stop gaps are making a case instead of the regulars. I am nitpicking here, but would be great to have Straka stay up and #40 get a permanent seat. Leave Rinaldo out so Laughton can slide in.

I'm just having a spot of fun, usually I just ignore his trolling. Guess he just misses Matthew Barry

Pleasantly surprised by Straka and White. 3 games, small sample size, but it appears they can certainly hold their own. With Raffl, and Laughton likely returning Thursday, and the aforementioned other two players, what will be the reasoning for that sack of poop Rinaldo dressing again this season?

I'd love to see both happen. Even though Lecavalier has been OK of late, I think Straka could benefit from the minutes.

As far as Rinaldo, play a potato or a head of cabbage instead of him.

This is the same White that played with Montreal right? Liked him then. The one thing I will say, and am kind of surprised it hasn't happened is getting Bellemare more ice time.

From the games I saw early in the year he seemed one of the more skilled guys on the bottom lines. With an abundance of these kind of players on the team, and a limited number of spots open for next year I'd like to see him given a bigger role.

Would be a real shame if his minutes, or a young player's, went to Wheels, Umberger or Rinaldo.

I think they like him at center and don't see him being a top 9 center. I like having a guy like him on that line.

Whatever happens, I hope he is here next season. With Cousins knocking on the door, and Akeson if Berube is shown out.. Spots may be tight.

Did they change coaches? Last year Bennett lit it up in Kingston.

Yep. Same White that played with the Habs.

I'm all for physical play and checking. There are plenty of those guys who also can play the game of hockey and possess some skill.

The top 4 in the division are actually pretty good teams. The East isn't the push over it was last year. Flyers have no chance at the playoffs. It's over

Yeah Todd Gill left after last season. Lot of injuries, and lost guys, too.
