Id rather draft McEichel...
Trade one of the islanders and blues picks for Sharp or a top 6 player from a cap strapped team
Then trade the other pick with a player like McCabe or Pysyk and a spec for Yandle
Have a top 6 of McEichel Moulson Reinhart Ennis Girgensons and Sharp(or similar player)
Have Grigorenko, Coho, Gionta, Stewart (if he resigns), Stafford (same) to fill out the 3rd line
Deslauriers, Mitchell, Flynn, Foligno fill out the 4th line
Myers, Risto, Yandle, Pysyk/McCabe, Gorges, Zadorov
As your top 6 D??

I like Eichel a lot but I wouldn't trade Myers, and 2 firsts for him. We need a hell of a lot more than one player and I think Myers and the 2 firsts can get you that if you wanted to trade them separately. |

Watching the Nuks and the Wild, they just said between period that the Nuks will consider moving Eddie Lack. |

Ovechkin had 29 shots on goal this week
not far behind the entire sabres team - homiedclown
I read on Twitter that with his first goal today, he became the fifth player in NHL history to score 30 goals in his first ten seasons.
I know that he, Gretzky, and Bossy are three, but I can't figure out who the other two are.
Not Lemieux, Jagr, Howe, or Messier. |

There's still hope for Foligno to be that guy IMO
We have a few prospects that play the power-forward type game. Bailey & Fasching are at the top of that list. - jdfitz77
Like I've said before, I have not given up on Marcus at all, but am comforted that we have younger guys coming up who could possibly fill that power forward role if he flatlines. |

We have a tom of prospects, so I don't think we "need" to use those two #1s
Trading Myers would leave a hole to fill, but to get McDavid AND Eichel?
Ya, I think I would do that
That's our "Toews & Kane"
Plus we'd still have Girgensons & Reinhart as well |

Damn, I did not even think abut Kurri. I even checked Gartner on Wikipedia, but missed that he was traded in his tenth season.
Thanks. |

It'll be interesting to see wht the lines look like next year.
If we keep Moulson-Girgensons-Ennis together, then it seems like Foligno will end up on the wing of either McDavid/Eichel or Reinhart
If he stays healthy, he could score 20goals in that situation |

Right. First thing is I'd like to see him fully healthy, then working on a talented (for the Sabres) line. Then we can get a thorough assessment on what he's got. He's an interesting one to keep an eye on. |

Yes. On my laptop and it used to direct me to another site.
Now, for that past couple of days, it brings up something that says my browser needs updating and wants me to download an upgrade for it. |

I still don't think it would be enough. It would take a top 5 pick, Myers, and probably Armia to be in the ballpark. - Stripes77
I'm sorry, but franchise, generational (I hate that word, but oh well) centers don't fall off trees.
You don't trade that pick if you have it.
Edmonton keeps it, 99/100 times. They pick Eichel, slide Nuge down to two, Draisaitl down to three, and now you've got one of - if not THE - best center ice trios in the game going forward. |

I just flipped on NHL network to catch the end of the McDavid game they were broadcasting...
Did anyone see the game?
Wondering how Baptiste is looking? Haven't seen him play since he got traded to Erie.
He did have a goal today.
