I wonder if he would take it right now. Then again, is it worth it to sign him now and not get the pick in return.?

Don't say CC, the Yanks need pitching. If you mention him now it screws them before the season starts. - SABRES 89
Not to worry - they are already screwed this year. They are finally undergoing a much-needed reset.

Chris Stewart is expected to be traded prior to the deadline on Mar. 2.
"It's definitely tough not knowing your future," said Stewart. "We've got the twins now, and we definitely want to find some security and get set up and raise our family somewhere, but that's the nature of the business. It's not really in your control." He's doing a good job of increasing his fantasy value right now with four goals and two assists in his past five games. All of his markers have come on the power play, as Stewart has been using his big body to produce. |

He turned 27 in October. I wouldn't go any more than 4. |

Classes will either do good for him or it could make for a collage school comedy movie. |

We have him now so why not keep him. Unless we can do the same we did with Moulson. We will need a player like him . |

The bad contracts will string them up for another year or two. I've actually become less of a fan over the years - I describe myself as a self-hating fan. It just isn't as fun rooting for the biggest fish in the pond.

I agree - people like him don't go on trees. We will at least get the same return that we got for Moulson. |

Speaking of grilling, I recently purchased a Pit Barrel Cooker. The thing is absolutely money. You absolutely, positively can not mess it up. First dinner was 3 whole chickens, ribs and wings. I couldn't believe it - I had the chickens cooking for 4 hours with absolutely no marinade and they were dripping at the end of the cook. Wings and ribs were outstanding as well. After doing some reading I found out that marinades really don't do much to keep the meat moist. The environment inside the cooker/smoker is everything. |

IMO, I don't think it makes sense to get rid of Stewart for another pick, we will get picks with the other players we move. I can't see the harm in keeping Stewart but we haven't heard anything about him staying. |

I think he might realize what Moulson did - teams weren't lining up to overpay him. He does sound like Moulson in that he has young kids and it was important to lay down some roots. I also have young twins so I can relate to some of what he is going through. |

I would also take the 2 and reasses after the season. I have a feeling that a lot is going to change in June and July. |

I agree. Get what you can for him and the other UFA's and if you want any back try to sign them later. None are major pieces or game changers on this pathetic team, so if they never get them back, c'est la vie and adios. |

The part with him having twins and wants stability sounds like something Pegula would take to heart and might want to provide him with that. |
