They aren't going to sign that 2nd round pick for at least a couple years and they could trade it to move up at the draft. It beats gambling and losing Stewart for nothing.

I don't know, He is 27 and has really only had one good year producing as a first round pick when he was with the Av's. Even St Louis fans were happy to get rid of him.

I honestly don't see any team wanting to trade or over pay for long term contracts on him or Stafford.

That quote that 89 posted screamed he is more concerned about life than hockey, and Pegula knows how to take advantage of that.

He'a had 3 of 7 seasons of productive hockey. The issue is if/when he is moved it will be his 4th team in 5 years. All because of motivation issues.

I understand that Murray won't let players go for nothing but, Stewart would be a nice piece to go forward with. Maybe the security he's looking for helps his play even more. Hard when you have a family and young kids but don't really have a place to call " home".

We all post on here about trading this player and that player and it's easy for us but, it's not for players like Stewart. We can't ice an AHL roster next year we have to have NHL players and I would rather have a player like Stewart to add with what we have. My opinion.

I don't know, it's a tough call because of what I previously just wrote regarding his inconsistency but if they deal a lot of the UFA's and Myers they will need some players to suck up cap space.

i like him. i was responding more to the dollars and term. skip the ntc and you could move him for something at pretty much any deadline. kinda like stocking up on left handed relievers- somebody will come calling. my guess is 5 years 22.5 million Is what somebody gives him- its not clarksons deal, but its more than we should pay.

We got enough picks, these picks will take another 3 years or so to work out and that's even if they do. Murray has said he doesn't want to pick 1 or 2 next year. This team has to be better next year, this shouldn't take another 3 years before we see any kind of change.
