Because of how much he makes is why, if he made 3 mill you wouldn't hear nothing about him from anybody. Just like when Miller was here, guy stood on his head and won games for this team that they should have lost but because he made 6 mill people complained about him all the time if and when he played bad. There is like zero chance we catch the Yotes. The Sabres would have to win 6 more games than Arizona the rest of the way. The way they are playing they might not even win 6 games let alone 6 more than someone.

Nothing this year is one players fault. Just pointing out that our premier goal scorer has 7 goals, and none in 16 games.

I'm sure they can find someone, i'd give Streart 4 before Hodgson. Players will be out there after this season.

he was on a 25-goal pace in the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season and scored 20 goals in 72 games last season...

that being said, he does play a lazy-ass game and if he's gone, fine by me...just in no hurry to get rid of him

You know, I was about to write about one being a complimentary player and all that nonsense when I realized that I've been talking out of both sides of my mouth. Absolutely nothing should be taken from this stain of a year. When summer rolls around we aren't going to slot people based on how they were this year. We are at the end of a process that must be just killing the players. Have some guys not given enough effort? Yeah. Hodgson surely looks like crap out there. But we really should just pretend this year never happened.

I think they are in a tough spot. Vermette is a nice player but he isn't a top-line center and he is too old. It kind of reminds me of our over-valuing of Steve Ott last year (don't get me wrong - Vermette is the far superior player). This is another example of why you want to get your top guys first and then worry about everything else later.

He's got the Rangers and there dumb contracts written all over him.

Yikes!! 12 games and the top THREE point scorers totaled 18 points....2nd highest being a .5 PPG player and 3rd highest a .33 PPG player.

He wasn't thrown away, the flyers traded him. And yea St. louis is still going at 40 because he's an incredible player, and even at his best on Tavares' wing Moulson still isn't in St. Louis class.


I'm sure Moulson will look better next year, but there are better options out there and his 5 mil cap hit could present a problem for us in the near future.
