The question for me is whether being THIS BAD hurts the team's chances when they decide to flip the switch. Obviously, there are going to be big changes in the roster, but some of these guys HAVE TO stick around (and should). I worry that the ones we want to stick around are being damaged by being exposed to this environment, and I don't just mean the young guys. Even the vets are starting to get so disgusted that I wonder if it could have lasting effects.

The Pens got Crosby, Malkin and Fleury and THE BAD went away quick.

IMO and my opinion only, The goal was to get the 1st or 2nd pick and even I thought they wouldn't tank but it's happening. Everyone on here wanted that pick but people keep complaining that the team stinks, the coach stinks, we can't compete, we have little talent, why can't they put good games together,it's Myers , it's Moulson, it's Hodgson, it's Stewart. all kinds of stuff back and fourth.

I can't understand why some are mad at what is going on, this is what everyone wanted was to SUCK and they do. We are last in the league, we can't score, can't stop a puck, can't stop a rush coming in the zone, can't pass..... it's perfect.

But people still complain and want players gone and Nolan fired ( I want ceratin players gone) We can't win games, score, and still draft 1st or 2nd, it won't happen. Why people are still unhappy is beyond me, who cares how they play or the effort they give, we want the pick that is the GOAL and nothing else.

The fine Gentleman from the desert gets it ! Please stop the whining. And the Myers bashers are the ones getting old. No one here makes excuses for him like you continually claim but they do appreciate his play when the bashers can't see the forest for the trees!

if the isles and blues pick end up in the mid 20s, no amount of 2nd rounders packaged with them gets us into the top 10. Its fine to wanna package things and try to move up, i think its a great idea, just dont look at the best case scenarios from other drafts and think they will apply this year. Would it be great to offer picks 23, 27, and two 2nd rounders to move up and take kylington (or whoever)- of course, but its a pipe dream this year.

I'm all for them losing as much as possible, but I don't want to see them break the 17 straight losses record.

The Sabres are in better shape then most teams in the league, so other GM's Coaches and Players can make fun of the Sabres all they want right now but they will happily take Pegula's money when things start to turn around.

With all due respect, how do you know? What possible difference would another 5 wins make?

I'm not even talking about wins/losses. I'm talking about professionalism and compete levels.

I agree with you and i've said it many times that all this losing will hurt but they have keep staying the course, it sucks but they have to deal with it.

The team will look very different next year. At least half the guys can take the bad habits they learned to other teams and help to cripple other organizations from within.

But I take this place to serious?

I'm not complaining at all nor whining, but you are of course free to put salt on anything you wish.

I know what I read here and it's all cool, really it is.

If Myers can get us at least another first he will have served his purpose for me at least, when referencing this rebuild.

There isn't a chance in hell they move Myers for a pick.

A first and another warm blooded body.

Not sure what Myers is even worth anymore.

I know he is over valued by some.

I don't think he gets back what some think he is going to bring back.

On most good teams, he is a second pairing guy at best.

I guess we will see because I would be shocked if he is not moved to Anaheim.

unless it is a top 5 pick i can't see it being a pick.. and if we don't have him i think that kills our d of the near future without a game plan. for being a #3 dman i think his contract is favorable

I think the reported Vatanen, Ritchie, and a 1st deal would be a huge win for Buffalo.

Speaking of Gameplans. When we get a new coach that should also improve.

I know Garth said it but that means nothing. Someone posted a different Anaheim source a day or two ago.

Prepare to be shocked. He may be moved, but he may not be. One thing is guaranteed, if he is moved, we will all celebrate the return. I'm not showing favoritism nor hate for him. He's a good player with phenomenal tools. I'm friends with an OHL scout and he told me exactly what the consensus is about Myers. I think Max said something along these lines the other day. He has a lot of value. More than you'd think.
