any notion of trading for ROR is insane

The book is out on Myers. He's not that good. I don't think the packages discussed are close to reality.

But "defensively" he's a 3rd pair guy
I can't pay a 3rd pair guy what it would cost to get him
Unless it was just for like 3yrs maybe
I don't want his big contract on the book when he have to start re-upping a lot of our youngsters to bigger deals

Colorado is in a bit of a disadvantage in that 1) everyone knows they have to trade him and 2) he is going to want more than he is worth

I agree completely, if the years are right it could be a massive boost to the last place PP. Also would help the young forwards thatll be on the pp bc they wont be forced to rush things.

Green seems to me to be more like the type of guy u trade for when you're really making a run at it and he's about to be UFA
He helps your PP in the short term, you aren't stuck with his contract, and your top4 is prob already set, so his defensive woes won't hurt u all that much

There are teams desperate for a good two-way center though
We just aren't that team right now
We are at the point where we are moving Centers to the wing to fit them on the roster

There's no guarantees ROR is signing an extension with who ever he gets traded to.

Also because of how they royally (frank)ed up his situation the last few years, Grigorenko cannot be sent down to Rochester next year unless he clears waivers. Awesome.
